Yup. She's bad ass. That's the beginning and end of her character development in Picard. Oh, and wavy hair.I think she is even more bad a$$.
At least she is wearing proper clothing now.

I was so thrilled to have her in the show.....I just wish she was still a little more Borg/ cooler and less American warrior...she even changed the way she talks....very disappointed.....But would much rather have her in the show than not......She was one of the most interesting characters post Original series Spock and Next Generation..Data, Picard. Wharf ..etcSorry you didn't enjoy her appearance.
She was great. Yah she was eye candy but her character was interesting and sympathetic. A little girl gets assimilated and is freed 20 something years later? That's some heavy stuff. Barely any childhood, and then adolescence is taken away from her and then she's about 30. It would've been different if individuality was completely foreign to her but she had early childhood memories of it. That's conflict. That's a character with depth. Anger issues. Trust issues. Issues being alone. But now she's just mad and walks in a straight line though a room of baddies wielding dual pistols like it's a video game. Like they forgot she's a super genius obsessed with precision and order.I was so thrilled to have her in the show.....I just wish she was still a little more Borg/ cooler and less American warrior...she even changed the way she talks....very disappointed.....But would much rather have her in the show than not......She was one of the most interesting characters post Original series Spock and Next Generation..Data, Picard. Picard was the obvious choice from a marketing perspective but I would've loved a new show all together. A new crew on a new ship just exploring. No major threats to the galaxy. Just a crew exploring. Basically The Orville but not a comedy.Agreed that shes not enuf Borg in Picard. The tension between the two worlds was one of the reasons she was such a memorable character. Same thing with Data. Glad shes wearing more clothing then she wore in V'ger because as an actress shes pretty damn good (see Boston Legal) and the skin suit was nice to look at but distracted from her character. Picard was an obvious choice for spin off but i think 7 of 9 was a strong second because her detailed backstory from Picard to V'ger could be really fun to discover if it was give to the right writers. Heinlein would have smashed it but hes dead.
A new show where they explore and don't ever see any species that they have already encountered would be great. It's a whole universe for a really good writing team to play with and they are stuck trying to recreate the success of the past.Picard was the obvious choice from a marketing perspective but I would've loved a new show all together. And the name. My god. Star Trek Picard. Ugh.
Exactly. It's the universe. And it could've been epic. A slow build to epic and not immediate epicness in episode 1. They could've had characters. New ones that we get to know. Doing interesting things. Science things. Maybe a battle here and there. Not every action scene has to be either the prelude to or the conclusion of a massive war between species. Sometimes there are just scuffles.A new show where they explore and don't ever see any species that they have already encountered would be great. "To boldly go where no one has gone before" got dropped for profit.Exactly. It's the universe. And it could've been epic. A slow build to epic and not immediate epicness in episode 1. I wouldn't mind. A stranded ship far from home has a lot of potential for good stories. They could have a captain that isn't an immoral thug. They could have no Harry Kim. It could be great. They should make a show with an all-new crew and use some Macguffin to toss them tens of thousands of light years away from Earth. Show how they have to learn to get along and navigate new challenges as they try to find a way to get ho...
...Oh, wait...

Agreed. Voyager had potential but suffered from a 2d captain (and most of the cast) and super boring writing.I wouldn't mind. A stranded ship far from home has a lot of potential for good stories. They could have a captain that isn't an immoral thug. They could have no Harry Kim. It could be great.
Here hereI think Voyager was the worst of the spin offs. The only characters that I liked were Seven and the doctor. The rest were not only bad, they were terrible. I wanted to strangle Neelix, and Tom Paris made me want to throw up.
That said, Seven was a great character, and I was happy they cast her in the Picard series. It was great seeing her again.
