J.J. Abrams appears to be sticking to directing the episodic films like THE FORCE AWAKENS, but will be taking on more of an executive producer type of role with the Star Wars Anthology films like ROGUE ONE. There are rumors that Invalid Link Removed might focus on Boba Fett, and that was the film project that director Josh Trank was fired from. There are also rumors that a film that involves Boba Fett might also focus on Han Solo.
In other Star Wars Anthology film news, it seems that Ewan McGregor is interested in revisiting his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi. That time period between Episode 3 and 4 seems like potentially fertile ground to explore as Obi-Wan lives in exile on Tatooine, watching over Luke Skywalker from afar.
I recently heard a YouTuber say something that after thinking on it I have to say I 100% agree.

The trailer from Episode I, at the time, was probably the most mind-blowing pieces of media ever presented to the world. The sound, the visuals, the pod race. It was amazing. It made the actual movie that much more disappointing.
For anyone who hasn't seen the redlettermedia reviews, they're definitely worth watching. Hilarious and poignant.
Does anyone know if any of the literature or comics or cartoons or whatever go at all into what species the main characters are? Are they human? Is Earth ever mentioned? Is it ever mentioned when exactly in time the story takes place?
If I recall correctly, Obi Won does hint at Earth in the original novel, but I may be imagining that as it's been somewhere around ten years since I last read it.
This wikia goes into it. Interesting stuff. I've never read any Star Wars books. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

The redlettermedia reviews nearly made me piss myself the first time I watched them. Plot holes that could accommodate nuclear bombs are pointed out in depth. So funny!
I held out on watching the new trailer until the other day. It looks very promising and im looking forward to it! Only problem is the logistics of thenew light sabre shape. Wouldnt you instantly slay yourself with that thing? Even as a jedi or sith? Looks cool though

Pretty amazing stuff. And masterful use of the score!
I'm excited, but I didn't find the new trailer as mind blowing as I thought I would. That might be a good thing since my expectations won't be set too high.
