Very expensive for a bit of 2ch EQ. Definitely not worth it to me especially with active EMGs as the PUs.Question: is the HAZ pre a worthwhile upgrade for an XP-2A? What do purists prefer?
Some do, some don't!Does the XP-2A not come with the Haz? The XL-2A came with it I believe.
Like bringing sand to the beach, coal to Newcastle, or tort to Talkbass ...Very expensive for a bit of 2ch EQ. Definitely not worth it to me especially with active EMGs as the PUs.
My dogs bring home enough sand from the beach daily, and there is no tort here and never will be.Like bringing sand to the beach, coal to Newcastle, or tort to Talkbass ...
Not difficult or expensive to add as heaps of JBs show. It will be even better here as the EMGs are internally buffered. But I don’t care for V/V/T on any bass…give me a blend knob any day.
Sure. C"mon down.Hello! Is the Steinberger Club roll still open for membership? Thanks!
well, apparently one of the collectors has released one into the wild. and it's "on sale" for a paltry $25k.

Anyone done this?
Would you know which active EMGs would be closest to the original L2 set?
Keep in mind the L2 was an all graphite bass compared to the XP (wood body, graphite neck).
