My L2 weighs exactly 8 pounds.
I didn't have a scale handy but the ones I played (XL2's, to be fair) both felt more than that. Maybe it was just my expectations. I wanted to love them but just didn't.

Thanks! might you happen to know if there's any known sound difference(s)?The L2 is all composite. The XP2 had a wood body and bolt on composite neck.
Not that I know of, but I don't have personal experience with an L2 or an XP-2. I have only played my Xl-2a which I have heard is a bit of a different animal from the XL-2. It is easily the hottest bass I have ever played. Thanks! might you happen to know if there's any known sound difference(s)?
Bringing an old thread back from the dead...
Has anyone stringed their 4-string L2 BEAD with the LaBella S500L-B set (minus G-string, obviously)? I just bought L2 (serial 1560) and thought I'd throw Thomastik flats on in BEAD tuning, but the headpiece grooves are not wide enough for the 136 (didn't even try the rest of the set), so I guess I'd need a double-ball set?
One love,
Rootz
