After quite a few high end basses, and the fact that I’m playing upright almost exclusively,
I’m ready to step down. Currently own a Sadowsky Metro 5.
Has anyone stepped down from a high end bass to a sub 1000 dollar bass and been super happy with the change?
I played a Ray 4 SUB recently and agree. They are flippin' great and on my GAS list. And used ones go for as low as $199 usd. What's not to love about that!?I prefer all my Ibanez basses, even my cheapest one over my Ric for ergonomics. I prefer my new Ray 4 SUB at $389 cdn over any of my basses for sound!![]()

2000 and up is my definition but only my definition
I want to spend less then 1000 and curious to see if I will notice big differences besides cosmetic beauty.
