well cheap trick and the breeders have convinced me everyone knows the bands he has produced. there are 3 bands with any name recognition and the breeders isnt one of them. famous means everyone looking immediately recognizes the names. famous in small circles doesnt count. steely is international

its been like a dozen guitarists. i can deal with one or even 5 but not 12. its too much. and UM has been a chicago band for the last 20 years

In the early 90s The Breeders' first couple albums were on top-100 album sales charts in several countries including the US, and their second album produced a couple top-50 singles as well, which is pretty good for a band that wasn't getting Michael Jackson-level A&R. It's OK if you never heard of them (or don't like them) but a few million other people have.

I left 19 years ago; I was kind of too busy in 2003 to notice to even begin to give a ****.

Tbh I hadn't either until I read Entwistle's biography. It's definitely an obscure part of Who related history, as it's wedged between the 1986 reunion tour with like a 15 piece backing band, and their 1996 RAH show with Zak starkley.
