Steve Grossberg (aka Killing Floor)

I'm sorry to hear he is gone. I thought he was a wonderful human being: Deeply curious and knowledgeable about things old and new. He wasn't afraid of swimming against the current, but was always respectful, and his insights were often accompanied by humor. When everybody was lamenting the death of the music business, he'd point out "this rapper kid living down the street" with a successful YouTube career, which was a testament to his forward-looking attitude. I will miss him.

@ivyg I am so, so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I just last night thought to myself how I haven't seen an insightfuly quirky yet rational response from my favorite TalkBass member, Killing Floor, in a while so I did a quick search and found this thread. I'm so sad.
I never met Steve in person, but his posts were consistently succinct and full of wit. Reading his insights felt like conversing with that friend we all have who is on our same wavelength, that one who just 'gets it'. What an impact he had on so many people just by being exactly who he was.
Please accept my condolences, and know that I thought your dad was one of the coolest people around. I'll miss you, Steve.
