Hi everyone,

I am Steve (aka Killing Floor)’s daughter and I wanted y’all to know that he passed away on February 24th of this year. Invalid Link Removed is his obituary.

I’m sorry it’s taken me a while to post this; I just recently found his account. He was very passionate about music, especially the bass, and was a devoted collector of basses, guitars, and pedals.

It’s clear this site meant a lot to him. I’m so thankful he found a community here that shared his love for all things bass. I hope at least a few of you got to experience his wit and unique sense of humor.

He played in several bands around Atlanta throughout the 80s and 90s, and music was a lifelong love for him.

Heaven’s band has one hell of a bass player.

Thank you for being a part of his world.

oh, no!! i so respected @Killing Floor's insights and posts. i will remember him with respect. we didn't always have to agree for me to appreciate his valuable contributions to 'the music' in general, and to this site specifically. he will be missed. i will miss him.

That's such a shame. I loved reading KF's posts and was always proud when he liked mine. Obviously a great guy I would have been proud to call a friend.
