Hi everyone, I noticed that Steve Harris on tour with British Lion was using his signature made in Mexico, did you notice too? I'm referring to the period around 2022.. currently in 2024, still with BL, he's using his signature but I'm no longer sure if it's made in Mexico.. do you have more precise information? I thank you

Yes, I believe he has used his current white West Ham signature basses for a few years when touring with British Lion. I believe these basses are still made in Mexico - I'm curious what information you have that has lead you to doubt this.

Hi everyon. Got some questions regarding my 1rs gen SH bass. When I run the serial number through Fender it comes back as US made, even though it clearly states crafted in Japan above the serial number. Anybody else run into this? Also does anyone know what color the the 1rs gen pickguard were? Fender says chrome and some say red mirror. I believe it to be chrome and does anyone know where I can get a replacement one in chrome ?

Found this on Fender's website - your neck seems to date correctly to the time of manufacture (2001-2002).

Per Fender, the pickguards were wine red mirror.

Been a long time since I've owned one of the first genersrion signatures, but I found a chrome mirror pickguard on eBay. Any 13-hole P bass pickguard should do. I see some for sale on Amazon, but haven't used them myself so I don't want to recommend one over another.
