My next Warmoth build will probably be a Sonic Blue jazz, with a Gulf Oil sticker in the same spot, ispired by this...
When it's a D. Boon sticker it is.What about 1 sticker on a $35,000 bass?

I put stickers on my older beat up cases to cover up the ripped parts in the tolex. It does little to waterproof the wood. But it looks cool enough.
Stickers? Nah. But I do put pieces of looped-masking tape on my bass to hold picks. I am aware it looks terrible from a distance. Oh well.
Maybe I'll put some googly eyes on my basses. Everyone loves googly eyes.

I think about stickers sometimes. if I wanted something on my bass,that I felt like was cool, I would. if I really had a strong feeling to adorn a bass, would be better to find an artist handy with an airbrush. kind of hard to express this the way I am thinking. I guess I mean it's either permanent, or can be removed without a trace, you know?
I think the sticker of D Boon on Flea's bass is very appropriate and very cool. It says "Punk Rock is whatever we made it to be"...Flea seems to have made it to be a very nice living, so it all makes sense here. And it's D Boon. Mike Watt rules, btw.
WHat the hell is the difference what someone else does with their bass?? I dont care if its a Wal or a Squier, its not YOURS. So why would you get bent out of shape over that? Waste of energy if you ask me. Oh wait, so was me commenting in this thread....

My skis are always stickered up and have been for years. My bass cabinet has a couple here and there. My basses don't other than one. I love stickers. I generally don't put them on my instruments but whatever. If it makes you happy, have fun.
I can see how slathering a bass in Guitar Hero and Activision stickers because that's just what was there is a little lame. Stickers on your stuff should mean something to you. but that's just me.

I've always been quite iffy about stickers - definitely not on a classy bass, not on really pretty wood or finishes, but they definitely do go on grunge stuff. I found the perfect pair of stickers for my distressed bass, and surprisingly I found a sticker that actually looked good on my purple sparkle jazz:
