Stickers.

I did not know that.Shows how many basses I've had to take stickers off of lol.Though my case is covered in old DVD and CD label stickers
Yeah when he told me lighter fluid was like baby oil for finishes I was shocked but so far he has been right and I have rescued many a bass from stickers, residual tobacco smoke crud, fried chicken grease, DNA and just about everything in between.

But do not use it on a nitro finish. That is very bad apparently.

I used to have a sticker on the back of my basses- not one that's impossible to remove, I would get those that are easily removable. It would not only look cool, remove easily, but also save the back of my bass from scratches from belts, zippers what have you. Better scratches on the sticker than the finish on the bass.

What are the best stickers for metal ?

Punk/hardcore band stickers apparently. And your fave NFL team, why not?

I'm not a sticker fan, but on my JD Schector, I got tired of knuckleheads yelling out "play Black Label Society", which we do play.

I went to a sign shop, made a band logo and stuck on there.

Made it with 3M material for easy removal.

Spent $30 bucks and made a boatload for the band.

I think it is pretty cool; I stayed with the distressed BLS theme.

The same design is on my drummers bass drum.

What puzzles me is 1) why did you have to use an entire bottle of Ronsonol and 2) why couldn't the Ronsonol alone do it?

Were those stickers applied with CA glue?!

I didn't use the entire bottle. If I said that, I don't know why I did. But most of these stickers were like "10 years sitting in the summer heat" kind of stuck. Ronsonol is just naptha, I use it for everything. I tried just ronsonol at first, it worked for a couple of the smaller ones but it was bad. I should have documented my progress.

yeah seriously.I've had a few basses that someone put stickers on and it only takes a few minutes with some adhesive remover (i use goo-gone $2 at wally world)They must have screwed those stickers on

It definitely felt like it.

One of my basses is covered in the back. It has even more layers than pictured here. My amp case is completely covered, my truck is also pretty slathered in stickers. I am covered in tattoos, so everything kind of matches as one big art project/scrap book. My level of concern for anyone's negative opinion regarding any of this is zero.
