Stingray 5 30th Anniversary

Where did you order it from? Haven't seen a retailer with one in stock yet.
I did a huge order at Guitar Center in I think November? I left Zane Guitars and had 14 of their guitars in my possession. The owner gave me the guitars to keep so I traded all of them in at Guitar Center for other gear. Right before my 45 day money back guarantee ended, Music Man announced the Anniversary Stingray 5. The store I deal with is almost 3 hours from my house in Sterling, CO. but this GC has always taken very good care of me. I was going to do the drive to return one of the guitars and have the store order one of the Anniversary basses. The store manager and the sales the assistant manager, who I deal with told me to not worry about the extra trip. They said they would simply order the bass and when it came in would do the return then even though I would be past my 45 days. We were expecting the bass to be delivered in May or June but since they ordered it so early, I must have gotten one of the first ones. They said everything is ready to go on the return and my discount will also be applied to the Anniversary bass as well.

If more Guitar Centers were like this store, they would be making a killing. The customer service I receive from the guy I deal with and the manager is top notch!

Very excited to hear what you think of it! Is it going to be the rosewood fingerboard or natural maple?

I originally ordered the Rosewood but then couldn't get over how good the roasted maple looked and switched the order to that a few days later. I just signed an endorsement deal with Gallien Krueger amps and will be doing some video demos shortly. I'll make sure I do one with this bass and post it in here. I am so stoked about picking this bad boy up.

Any updates? On the edge of my proverbial seat here

I just got home from Denver. I will post detailed pics and video tomorrow, after I wake up but in the mean time, here is a sneak peak of the bass when I picked it up.

Just got mine today. The tone on these is much improved from the recent Stingrays I've tried. The flat tone is mellow and punchy, while the entire range of the eq is usable. Electronics are dead quiet. Neck is.....heavenly. The matte poly is smooth and easy to play. It's heavy....go figure.

How much classic Stingray bite (not the Classic line just in general) is there?
