I voted for the StingRay, but surprisingly I liked the sound of the Yamaha with both pickups, and I typically don't like PJs. Both are good-sounding basses!

How do you define control? When it comes to tone shaping, The two or three band eq provides lots of options.Interesting because I voted for the BBP with both pickups, but I never use the J pickup on my own. The StingRay is a fine sounding instrument, but I like more control than it offers.
