It's weird, I see way more women at doom shows than at any other metal show, but still not that many actually on stage.
Hopefully that's changing, though.
As for posting about shoes... I think we were talking about sandals on the last thread.

SF has a good scene for doom, doesn't it?
Have fun at the gig. Zoom mic demo , hehe.
Corey - Yeah, I got into Bottom after they already split. Is Billy Anderson from SF? I dig most of the stuff he's had a hand in recording.
No worries! Chicks and doom don't seem to be a popular combo never mind one who plays and is into gear. Laz - I'm really the first here? Cool. Indeed, this thread is not like the internet. The people here are actually people, not trolls. Also, I promise never to post about shoes.![]()
JoeV - boo urns to Carvin. Warmoth it is.
Fun shotgun factoids abound up in here.
Doom stuff - Eagle Twin is crushing me right now.
http://deadlanguages.bandcamp.com The songs on there are old, though. I'll put some of out new ones on Soundcloud after finals. We cover an Agnostic Front song too. It's just so much fun to play.![]()

Lazarus.Bird said:I'm pretty sure you are the first. Gender doesn't make a damn of a difference to us here. Bands like Kylesa, Backwoods Payback, Acid King, Witch Mountain, Blood Ceremony, and I'm sure lots others are prime examples that the girls can play with the boys.
However girl drummers seem REALLY uncommon. There's a killer local sludge metal band called Vulture that has a female drummer and she absolutely slays.
ha ha, who is jason hall on fb? you're our lucky 100th like.

Mendozza is another to add to the list of female drummers. They do a solid cover of Dragonaut and Fairies Wear Boots.
First Melbourne gig tonight, can't find my M80. Dopesmoker cranked so loud my bullet belt rattled off my desk. Not even 10 in the morning and skunked up good.
Technique/Weight question for the DoomRoom - Fairly sure my Warlock is Basswood or some other light wood and it doesn't anchor to me very well when we get the tremolo picking sections happening in songs. (I'm a convert from the 6 stringer but kept the pick) Any suggestions aside from trying to lock the bass under my arm or somehow pinning it to myself to reduce movement? New bass down the track maybe?
Niff what's your bands name again? Can't find in thread. Must fb…
Dead… old or not, dug the songs.
Prop between the leg V trick??? Not sure how comfy that is. Or one of those neoprene straps. They don't let it slide around on your shoulder.
Oh cool, thanks. Why did you think replacing your tuners didn't make a big difference? Where you experiencing issues before hand and they weren't really resolved, or you did it for the hell of it and didn't really notice a difference? I do remember you replacing them.
