This thread is moving fast like the old ones, Vintage mojo So my buddy is going to get the a rewind on the one coil that i broke. Anyone other then Laz have a rewind on a vintage pup? Who did it if so?

I'm sure it's pricey but I've heard amazing things about lollar for pickup rewinds.

Also this is thread 13 so we've gone back in time which is why it's moving even faster.

Other than Laz! Carey Nordstrand did a great job with my Ric pickup. He was very forthcoming with the fact that it would take several weeks, and the price and job done were both great!

NBBD (new borrowed bass day)

I fixed it and it was just the toggle switch. It's kinda quiet, but it hasn't had a full setup yet and it's string with flats. I started a thread for pick up wiring options just in case there is a better wiring option with the toggle and pickups.

I can't wait to set it up. It's definitely been neglected for a while. Frets are kind of crusty and has some fret buzz. I make it all proper by weeks end.

I have switchcraft jacks and tbp in my bubble font muff.

It's been a few months since I've had her open, but if I recall correctly the board is mounted to the case by the jacks right? How did you go about supporting the board when you went to switchcraft jacks? If you happen to have pics that would be extremely awesome.

Edit: Just found these replacement jacks: Invalid Link Removed Would keep it more authentic, but switch craft would be higher quality. Hrmm

I'm no expert when it comes to delays but from my limited experience it is nice and warm but the decay is definitely digital. More than enough delay time and the tone control is pretty cool.

I see that you're selling it. I may be interested in that...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the echo shifter Ron, I was really interested in it and as you are the "delay expert" here I wanted to ask you what you thought.

So now I think I've found the cheap and good sounding delay to go with my other cheap and good sounding Ibanez DE7 !

The jack are soldered to the board AND the board is screwed into the bottom of the enclosure. If you would of caught me 2 weeks ago, I could of snapped pics when I replaced the 9v clip when i had it apart. I don't want to open it if I don't have to, it was a pain. The new jacks are connected to the top part of the enclosure with wire leads ran to connect to the board. I didn't get board mounted jacks installed. 3 screws mount the board to the bottom half of the ped. If I were you (IMO) I would get a true bypass switch installed while its open. Just save the old parts. Well at least the switch. I threw those plastic jacks out.

Ya'll will be glad to know that as of today,this doomer now has a house.
Now just to convince my housemates about the idea of having an 8x10 in the house....
Got a free ticket to see Bob Mould playing Sugar's album 'Copper Blue' tomorrow night,and I secured some tickets for me and my girlfriend to go see Tame Impala.She's not going to know until we are standing outside the venue.
Today is a good day to turn 19.
