Consider my interest piqued. I can't even worry about more fuzz and distortion until the GT200 comes in.
I was shocked at how well it worked with my flats. I probably use mine quite differently than Joe. Think I posted a pic of my BlueBeard + El Oso settings awhile back. I turn the gain down most of the way and use it as a massive low end over drive. We have a couple parts that drops out to just drum + bass and I engage the El Oso and the tone is incredible. Huge and massive.

. And @ Sam, the RT has better bass then the OSD??? Because if that's the case I can call off the search for a OSD and maybe try to use my RT with the little board and upgrade to a Rat King for the stoner board. I think the RK would be nice and I could take my maestro off.
So here's a new greenboy design built by BNA Audio. I think this is one of the nicest looking cabs I've ever seen. The hardware is powder coated and just looks incredible.

initially it seems to have a bit more low end than the OSD. but its's hard to tell. I'm going to have more time with both this weekend so I'll report back. I have not spend much time with the RT, but i'm almost positive it will not do the natural tube(ish) grind that the OSD does perfectly. honelstly I use the OSD as more of an EQ pedal. it just boosts all the right frequencies, i add a bit of gain for some dirt but not much.
It does look incredible. What's the pot/dial on the side? Impedance adjustment?
No not sealed. That's a shelf port on the side. I'm not really sure why there aren't sealed cabs, but I'm sure there's a good reason. If you're genuinely curious you can always ask on the GB forums. The guys there are really great.
Btw the Fearless 215 was basically designed to be a lighter, more compact cab that can essentially give you the same thing as the 15/15/6/6 cabs.
Ah, that makes sense. Wish my cabs had an attenuator instead of the on/off switch.
guitarist borrowed this amp yesterday through an old Marshall 810 cab. sounded incredible. It had two of the power tubes removed so it was "only" 50 watts or so but it filled the room. very similar to a Marshall plexi but not nearly as shrill. So no we have Butcher and a Deputy in the jam room
question for you guys. why is it that my bass cab sounds way louder on stage than in the jam room. is it because the guitar dispereses more in a bigger room leaving more space for the bass? not sure what the science behind it all is.

neurosis uses or used these garnett heads on their last recording. supposed to be good for recording without cranking it.

I like the fearful stuff. I think my now NEO loaded 115 still isn't cutting it. I was playing with it yesterday and it seems like the high and high boost did nothing to the tone. Especially after jamming the SVT/810 rig I might get a fearful for the extended freq range or get a different NEO 212 or 410.

You're right on top of each other in the jam room and you probably stand next to your amp. That's a recipe for getting lost in the mix. Live is probably the only time you get more than 10 feet away from your rig.
Bass waves don't open up until after about 15 feet or so. That's where the volume is and the idea behind folded cabs. If a bass wave has to travel X number of feet to get loud, the folded horn makes the bass waves travel some of that distance from within the cab creating the louder results sooner. How close do you stand to your rig during practice vs. stage?

Plus highs are more efficient and easier for humans to hear but they are more directional than bass waves so they'll be crazy loud in front of the guitar rig but you'll be loud everywhere.
