Lol. To be fair that eBay price isn't bad, but it is a very niche market for those. If the guy here had put his on eBay at that price and let it sit for 3 months I'm sure it would have sold.

It's an '87. '62 reissue. I bought it because it's got real player wear and is nice and broken in. The nitro has yellowed a bit and it's more teal than blue. It's tough to photo.
It's not a bad price, but I think trying to market it as some famous dude's bass, complete with white trash sticker and album is a bad move.

Blender, I'm kind of floored, but I guess not everyone's adolescence was sound tracked by River Runs Red and there are A LOT of bands I've never heard of so I understand. To be honest I never knew or cared who was playing bass
Seriously download that album and listen to it straight through, don't be too put off by Keith Caputo's vocals great album, then the band signed to roadrunner and put out some watered down pop-metal poop... I think I saw them in 1998, but it was after the second album...

I bit on Al berry's Delgada. I've gassed for a Gibson RD for awhile. I sure hope it feels and sounds good. It might be a bitch to flip. Lol! But, if I play it out, it'll be sweet to see peoples faces when they compliment it and I tell em it's a First Act.
I'd get those Delgada's when you can, someone over at HC reached out for a quote from them and they got a reply saying they couldn't even give a quote because they are so backlogged.
So I just left Action Music in Falls Church and I'm kicking myself for never going there when I lived in MD. One of the best stores I've ever been to in my life.
Tried out the Mastotron and Wooly Mammoth, two Zvex pedals I've been curious about. Was playing a darkstar'd P with flats into some swr SS head and swr 410. It might have been the swr (I hate those things) but I could not get a tone that wasn't sterile and so 8bit sounding that I would actually use. Still curious how they would sound with my own rig...

I was looking at mastotrons for a while. I think the gated low fi clipping at higher levels is kind of what they do. I also learned that the mammoth more or less picks up where the mastotron maxes out in terms of fuzz. Did you try to play an active through the mammoth? I've heard mixed things about the combination.
No I only tried the dark star with flats. That was the owner's recommendation when I told him my main basses. The bass itself sounded quite good.

I've never played a Swr, but the few times I've seen local bands with them, I have really disliked the tone. It could totally be how they eq'ed them. To each, their own.
The guy over at HC has been dealing with Corey, sounds like they need to get their house in order haha.

super super early, even with KT88s and the gain down as much as possible. I for one want a big loud clean amp at high volumes first, then dirty it up/boost it with my boxes. does good dirty rock tones, tho.
hey Corey Y, for some reason I remember seeing you in another bassists thread - you said that you like treble boosters on bass as an overdrive type thing. what do you recommend?
