Well I heard all my information on NPR Wednesday afternoon so subject to change :P

I think the issue is we're living in the 1st world, and on a whole are pretty tame people. I don't think 95% of the public really even knows what gun laws are even really in place for.

Over there people are just as ignorant, but they are living in a wayyy different world, I mean people die, violence is day to day street to street, and when people slip up, especially those in power they still know to rebel when it's reached a point.

I think fundamentalism is the same everywhere in theory (or lack of one), but things are so different there it comes out this way. Add that to the fact they are being slapped in the face with the speed of which the modern world is infiltrating their homes and towns. For instance, think about when the internet was just coming around to the general public at large and people believed anything that happened on it, because how could it be a lie?!?.

Now imagine you're living in a town where no one finishes any kind of education, the government is corrupt and in all likelihood you've had a number of friends and family or neighbors, die or disappear. The only real sanctuary and common ground is their place of worship, and when something comes between them and that they freak out.

Meanwhile we're here and even the angriest among us just dress up in crazy costumes (tea party/Occupy) and march around downtown a few hours and call it a day. No one has the cajones or vision to actually change something, because jail is scary.

I guess it really comes down to we're all jaded and they aren't afraid to die. And when you have nothing to lose things can get way out of hand. So when someone they trust with a conviction tells them get up and burn an effigy and torch an embassy they do.

And naturally, most of the responses were people whining about how they'd buy them if they were cheaper. This was Orange's response.

You guys keep talking about lowering prices, acting like we sell them at boutique prices because we can, not because we have to. But if you own an Orange you're probably aware that they're not made shabby. They've got a "tank" quality about them. It is our hope to be able to lower prices someday. We just have to be careful about how we do that so we don't compromise on quality in the process. Believe us, we're hearing your complaints and no company likes to think they're letting their customers down. Stick with us and we'll get there eventually. An Orange for everyone!

Have to say, I'm impressed with their response. Especially considering stupid crap posted on FB buy companies such as Emperor :P
