Holding inventory if it keeps your price high can be worth it. It all comes down to the math.

I honestly believe that Orange would charge less if they could. Their investment in their Terror line of mini amps with tube pres and class D power sections makes that pretty clear.

I'm hoping to go play one tomorrow morning, as a guy nearby is selling one on CL. I suspect it would be a big step up from my entry-level Ashdown head.

Well if they are holding inventory for a price increase like Rickenbacker, then they can't at the same time really be concerned with lowering prices. Those Class D amps are still crazy expensive considering how many other companies can make the same exact 500-1000 watt hybrid head, and have it cost less, and usually weigh less. I don't blame them capitalizing on there name one bit it's business, and that's why I really doubt they care to make their gear any more affordable.

Pretty sure it was a joke...

Yea, probably.

Orange should scrap every single amp on their line and replace them with the following:

OR18, OR50, OR100, OR200.

3 wattage level guitar heads, a 1 200W bass head. All direct copies of their original amps, and or with minor or small tweaks. If 200W is insufficient then a 300W version would be fine 2

Charge them at reasonable prices with good quality construction even if its PCB.

Yep I can agree with this.

Says the guy who's amps take longer to build than it takes to have a baby!

I kid I kid ;)

Haha I was just messing man. Hand wired, custom to order, and absolutely gorgeous. Of course it takes awhile.

When you finish school, do you plan on joining the work force or perhaps devoting more resources to amp building?

i know i know u just bustin balls.

Work force. the ultimate optimum thing would be to transfer operations of dunwich to a trusted employee or friend but that has not materialized yet
