Stoner/Doom Bassists 51: Back To The Future

Out of curiosity how much does a Bluebeard Fuzz cost new?

$159.00 with s/h included in the continental US, email [email protected] with any questions. Sonny rules.

Fair warning the Great Destroyer is one hell of a pedal, It controls you, you dont control it. Not for the faint of pedal heart.

I saw you sold yours a while back. I've read he was trying to make a tube drive whenever he put in the wrong ic chip and created that monstrosity. I can't see paying much for it and I see they took the kit down on the dwarfcraft site. Sad face.

Oh shvt, for that price not even worth farting around with the DIY kit. I thought they were crazy pricey for some reason.

Its an awesome pedal, I'm just not really a noise guy outside of feedback, and I'm defi itly not a knob twister, I want something I can set and leave it. I have a hard enough time worrying about turning my Colossus on when playing. Most of the time if its on its on the whole song or a good portion of it.

The only reason I am a twister is when I love different gain settings on the same pedal. I love my Pork Loin cranked, but I also love it just as a slightly hairy OD alone and pushing my other pedals. Nice big knob though easy to move with the toe. One pedal I wouln't mind having two of though. That whole clean section to keep your original dry tone in there is the shvt that makes that pedal so sweet.

This is why I am eventually going to get two OSDs in one enclosure. Volume, Tone, Drive and Blend controls for each. Depending on how Ron finds the LED mod for the OSD I may get one of them with the LED clipping too.

I hate twisting too... I'd rather get 2 verisons of the same thing than have to remember multiple settings. I spent many years addicted to multis for that reason and now that I'm going analog I just want a few awesome sounds that I can set and forget.

Color coded stickers can help if you want to go between settings for certain songs. Hell, Mike of YOB tweeks his delay on the fly during the gigs.

First practice last night with the T40 - damn do I like that bass.

I don't know if it's because the humbuckers on it aren't as hot as my Fender Blacktop precision (which is also dual humbuckers), but whatever it is, my OCD sounded soooo much better. The lows came through quite a bit clearer and wasn't as nasaly with the gain on the OCD cranked.

Made my GAS for a Fuzzrocious/BB/etc die down a ton....at least for now.:bassist:

I prefer the sound of lower output pickups, especially when using some sort of OD or Fuzz.

I dont know why I never tried cranking this Peavey before, it sounds gnarly, all that SS break I love...saves money from having to buy fuzz for it!!! Which means more money for the bass rig.

Ive said it plenty of times, and Im sure Ill say it more, I love 70s SS Peavey. Second only to SS Sunn for my favorite amps ever.

Hopefully you can make out this license plate. I think I may have scared them off, because before I could get a good pick at the red light, they hanked a right real quick and peeled off. My Chevy Tracker isn't capable of pulling any Starsky and Hutch maneuvers and didn't feel the need to provoke someone who has ties to Filthadelphia, minivan or not.

Hrmm, magnified it looks like IRSH LZD, maybe a vanity plate? I don't trust anyone with a stick figure family on their window.

Think it's a toyota sienna if that helps.

Edit: Kinda hazy on the H... that's real fuzzy. Could be an 8 or something possibly.

Yes indeed IRSH LZD, what people are still Lazzing the Irish after all these years, the plight of my poor Countrymen flows through my whiskey-soaked veins, Irish Power, why can't we all just get along lol

Yep, lazzed. I knew it. When will it ever end?

Historians will look back at these threads thousands of years from now and find the correlations of laz's name to being lazzed. It will turn out that there is a huge conspiracy that started with custom builders which soon encompassed all of society. People getting lazzed for no good reason. Frustration free packaging suddenly becoming impossible to open. Cabinets which should have 3015s coming with some ghetto trash. I bet they even invented those impossible to open plastic packages 90% of electronics come in.

No one is safe.
