Stoner/Doom Bassists 51: Back To The Future

My RD Artist has a dual string through/top load bridge, so I was hoping Kevin could do something like that, I could load the more normal gauged strings through the body, and the massive ones top loaded as the .190 doesn't really like to bend (I have my F top loaded and the BEA through the body on the RD currently).

Yeah, I'd stock up if I heard he was going under or something. Although I play those strings until they break, I don't need a really bright string as I get most of my treble from my pedals.

I really want to try out his normal gauged strings on my P-bass, but I'm nervous because I don't think I would be able to go back to my cheap D'Addarios after switching.

As soon as he makes a through body string, I'm going back. I am using DR Lowriders. The Carvin likes the sustain of through body better. Might have to do with it being chambered.

gotcha, circle K is what im using as well, just slightly smaller. ill be putting them on the 650B tonight, hopefully theres no tuning issue. ever since i switched to these bigger gauges ive had no issues (i used to use a ken smith 150 and it would not stay in tune for **** no matter what bass it was on). circle K stuff is seriously awesome (and if he ever goes out of business i have no idea what im gonna do for strings lol).

My back up plans are DR and Dunlop. They have a similar set to what I use now.

So who wants to hear a lot better recording of us? Ones that actually do us justice. Theres two more on my soundcloud, and fvck making them private this time, my drummer needs to get over himself, we need to be heard, easily.

So here's our cu de gra, our pork and beans, biscuits and gravy, meat and potatoes, now I'm hungry....Ouroboros, the jam song, Earthless tribute, yada yada yada...

No vox for now
