My RD Artist has a dual string through/top load bridge, so I was hoping Kevin could do something like that, I could load the more normal gauged strings through the body, and the massive ones top loaded as the .190 doesn't really like to bend (I have my F top loaded and the BEA through the body on the RD currently).



Yeah, I'd stock up if I heard he was going under or something. Although I play those strings until they break, I don't need a really bright string as I get most of my treble from my pedals.

I really want to try out his normal gauged strings on my P-bass, but I'm nervous because I don't think I would be able to go back to my cheap D'Addarios after switching.

As soon as he makes a through body string, I'm going back. I am using DR Lowriders. The Carvin likes the sustain of through body better. Might have to do with it being chambered.

Seemed like Kevin's attitude was basically he'll do anything you want within reason. I'm sure he'd use whatever bridge you wanted so you could top load your strings.

That's another thing. This is loaded through the body so getting something much larger than .140 or higher might be a challenge. The .130 I have on there now barely fits the saddle and nut

In tune drop C and use a .118 and its great. I don't see why you would need bigger then the .130 your trying to use.

gotcha, circle K is what im using as well, just slightly smaller. ill be putting them on the 650B tonight, hopefully theres no tuning issue. ever since i switched to these bigger gauges ive had no issues (i used to use a ken smith 150 and it would not stay in tune for **** no matter what bass it was on). circle K stuff is seriously awesome (and if he ever goes out of business i have no idea what im gonna do for strings lol).

My back up plans are DR and Dunlop. They have a similar set to what I use now.

Yep. DR are my go to if circle k isn't available. I don't care too much for the compressed wound foderas after having them for a bit.

I play lots of chords on the higher strings so I like the normal ish gage on the ADG strings. Also i know DR does and Dunlop might build custom sets for string gages they already carry.

Picked up the Earth Rocker vinyl at lunch. Can't wait to get home tonight and crank it up! The artwork is very awesome.

What does it all do?

its a si fuzz face with controls for volume, fuzz, bias, and a FAC control.

Works okay on bass IMO but more suited for guitar.
