No different situation. The '68 p bass pickup i dropped and broke, just got it rewound. I just threw it in the bass I just killed the hum in. It sounds good. I cant truly attest if a pot was at fault for the hum. After putting in the new pots, redoing all the grounds, a making a lug to attach the controls to the shielded cavity there is no hum. I put some pics in my thread. I'm still going to swap the pup now that the hum died. My buddy has a SPB-2 and I thing it will work great in this bass. If not the bass is gone ;)

I always hate those kinds of fixes. Not sure what you did specifically that fixed it, but the him is gone. Still, if it sounds good it is good.

Thanks for the Primer recommendation!!!!!!!!!!

Watched it last night - coupled with some green godness and some imperial IPA - and absolutely loved it. My wife kept referring to it as a "nerdy science movie", but it was a lot of fun.

Was flipping throught the latest issue of Wired, with Allison Brie (yummmmmmmy) on the cover, and they started talking about a director that made this low budget time travel flick, but then disappeared for 10 years. Ended up being about the Primer director/producer/actor Shane Carruth - He just put out a new flick, the first since Primer, which was shown at Sundance to some pretty great fanfare.

I watched Last Days Here. The misses has never seen a hardcore crack addict.Plus, she mostly listens to punk and electronic. So doom and crack addiction didn't go over very well, lol.

It's not too heavy for me, and i'm a skinny guy, lol.

You can definitely move the peg and I hear that it gets rid of the dive, I haven't done it to mine but I have heard that it works, you have to make sure where you drill tho.

I'd check the "Thunderbird Club" thread, i'm sure it's been posted there before.
