Stoner/Doom Bassists 54: Big Cabs and Nerd Bombs

Wow, that was a looooong catch up thanks to the app not being able to load the new thread, and me being too lazy to open up my computer.

Starting clearing the bottom of the cab....

Off it the classifieds for my daily gas-check.

If I didn't just buy a Whetsone I'd be all over the MF101

That's awesome, come to think of it, a lot of glas that marry other gals I have noticed rocking Hockey Hair!!! I think when more of the old people die our Country will care less about all these silly things that don't matter, drugs, gay marriage, the problem is I am already 41 so I won't probably won't see weed become legal nationally, bummer

Only Pedal Gas I have right now is swapping my Psilocybe for a Faye Sing... then getting a dual expression for said Faye Sing & Xero Deluxe.

I had the Organizer.. Liked it. Definitely the best Organ Emulation there is out there for bass... Like Laz pointed out, you can't overdo it and when I downsized it wasn't "essential" - so off it went.

The IE Xerograph?

I have also been looking at the Source Audio Pro Envelope

(of course I'm dreaming right now, but one day)

Any reason why you went IE over SA? (if you even looked at the SA)

Wow, that would be a total Prick's Trick there, lol. My buddy who can't play too well but loves music, got on a binge of collecting instruments because he saw me buying and selling to get just the right stuff, tone hunting and what not, and he got wrapped up in it, but he made it like a competition with me, trying to beat each other to the killer finds on craigslist, MGR, GC, and ebay. Well there was this older MIJ Ibanez SC Classic sort of PRSmith style guitar on ebay, and I made the mistake of letting him know about that model and the listing. So I watched it and went back and forth and let the auction slide, then I thought about it, why not send the guy and email through ebay and make him a lower offer, and the guy took it. So a couple days late my buddy and I are gmailing and I say I got that Ibanez SC off of ebay, he said how I was watching that and was going to buy that but the auction ended how could you bid on it. I said I just wrote him and got it shipped for 150. My buddy about flipped, you MF Joe, I was going to see what he relisted it a this week and buy it just so I had something at my place you would be jealous of. Ha Ha I Pre-Lazzed the Lazzer!!!

Hahahaha!!!

The Fayes Her looks and sounds so cool too but so much more expensive than the Faye Sing! I think the Psilocybe is beating out the Baby Quasar so far for me but we'll see how they each compare to the Whetstone. the 4MS Phaseur Moire looks super awesome as well.

I was pretty much between the two. I went IE because it's analog and I think it can do dark sounds better. I think the SA is an amazing product however I found the look, size, and controls of the IE to be better suited for me / easier to organize the board. I wasn't crazy about digital preset sounds although they don't seem to be too digital sounding. I think you could be very happy with either of the 2 - just different flavors.

These piqued my interest on ILF:

- that Echo dream looks cool... Fuzzy delay? Not sure if i could find a need for it - I have no problem combining fuzz and delay from separate pedals that I already own... and I think it would be more useful if the Fuzz and delay could be switched separately. Still I wouldn't mind twisting knobs on one.....
Anyone tried one - Ron?

Also mailed a guy about one of these: Invalid Link Removed

..... Maybe the Psilocybe will be coming up for sale sooner than I thought...
