Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

Frack me a day and half of work troubleshooting using every mapping trick up my sleeve to get some surveyed drawings from the company hired by our P&R department so they can begin construction that they are already behind on to line up to our system, to find out the survey company sent me plans from some other city in the State, why did I turn down the job at the State Fish Hatchery to go back to college to troubleshoot computers instead of working cultivation game fish, why, why, why

not sure what you said there, but I feel for you

Did the WW2 tour today, went to Ohama and Utah beaches, as well as the American Cemetery at Colleville. The cemetery had the heaviest air/feeling/vibe Ive ever felt, Gettysburg falls just short of it. What those men went through is unfathomable. If you ever go to Europe you have to take the time and go there, PERIOD.

Is clean what you want? Totally maxed out and really digging into my J Bass, mine grinds a little, but maxed with my EB-3 is total sludge at the slightest touch. Dial the volume back some (on the amp or on the bass) and its cleans are very nice and seem a smidge louder overall than the grind. They stay as clean as you want.

When it comes to bass I'm a lot more picky about dirt/clean, I a prefer a much cleaner signal with good low end, to much low end mixed with lots of dirt is the worst sound to me. I like my brighter bronco on my 100 watt tube amp, but my EB-0 sounds a lot better with clean heavy lows and low mids with a good overdrive (when needed) into a ss amp. For all out on guitar or bass I like my dano fabtone.

I'm not the one actually looking for a b15 I was just curious.

Never ran across that problem with mine. But I always was running a little bit dirty signal so I might not have noticed.

Almost makes me want to pick up another to mess around with dirty delays.

Sorry I can't help more on the issue at hand though.

Yeah I thought you wouldn't have noticed it considering your definition of "clean" :D
I'll try with another bass with a lower output than the Ric. It's not really a problem because it only appears when I dig in, which I normally don't during the part with the delay, but it's kind of an ocd thing : it bothers me to have an unwanted modification of my signal, even if it's something only I can hear :p

And I think the 18v power supply might be a good idea, it's supposed to increase the headroom so it should be a solution !

I'm glad you're doing well man, I'd be even more glad if you were rocking out and sharing some tunes with all of us though.

I have time for a full time job, a fulfilling marriage, 3 or 4 bands, DIY wood working and crafts projects and overlapping home remodeling projects.

The secret? BE F*CKING CRAZY. Who even knows what normal people do?

FVking lol!

yeah, I hear you. I would, but statistics is kicking my a$$. I spend 22 hours+ a week on that class, and I still suck. I'm going through school in double-time, my senior year should take about 6 months.

After that. I have a Pigtronix Infinity Looper just sitting there waiting to record some riffs. But school first. Waiting until I'm 50 makes it tough, but I am kicking the stuffing out of my 20-year-old classmates :D

Man both stat classes I've had we're horrible, but C'd my way out and got all A's or B's in everything else. I have two semesters left myself.

My study method remains, always go to class, even if you don't pay attention, and cram before tests.

One if my grandfathers was on a ship that bombarded the beach at Normandy. He described it to me but man you don't get it till you go.

No music stuff to speak of, just sitting in the living room playing the guitar for the cats & dog.

Gotta put on my counselor/life adviser hat tonight for a family member. She's got some stuff going on and needs a sounding board. I spoke to her brother last night, who I'm counseling as well, and this sounds like it can go south in a hurry. Feel bad for both of them, They just make not good choices sometimes, and it ALWAYS bites them in a big way.

Man Stats, Env Economics, Surface Hydrology classes just brain raped me, slid by on both with a C's and a D+, that Fuzzy Math kicks my butt. I was a Geology Major and Aced my classes then Inorganic Chemistry violated me till I walked down the counselors office and she said stop torturing yourself and switch to Geography it is easier to find a job in it anyway and all your previous classes will still count for the degree. She was right.
