The Sunn 1200s was my favorite amp for about 5 years. I only switched when I went to the custom stereo Dunwich with multiple power amps.

They normally sell for $500/600

However, they have a heat sink problem, if you don't isolate it, eventually it'll get too hot and fry the board. Once it is fixed though, they're solid as a rock and fantastic sounding amps.

Hmmmm...tempting.

I'm really liking my orange, and am just finishing a headcase for it, but if this is the right price I may pick it up.

All you kids and your fancy amp talk. Did I mention I'm rocking a EARLY 80'S PEAVEY COMBO 300?????

Let your jealousy flow, my sons, let it flow.

Oh, and I turned 50 on the 8th.

I turned 29 back in February... I guess that makes you old enough to be my dad.... :spit:

I am getting excited. I am going to have new gear in coming. F212 is being built. Have new pick ups for my Pbass, and I am kicking around pots/switches and the like. AND I may have a line on a used Dingwall 5 string at a good price.... :D

Hey, that amp sounds awesome. Thats my first big boy amp and its still plugged in in my basement. I may have someone who's gonna buy it for $300, but I wouldnt sell it for less than that... it sounds so crisp, its great for demoing or A/Bing different basses to compare tones or chilling with my Ric plugged in clean for tonal nirvana

Happy belated Birthday!

How much amp do you really need for home use? That Peavey is about as fancy as ya need. When I'm alone and just jamming I only care about it sounding good enough that I'm not angry.

Went to Fuzzed out Festival last week in Ft Worth, Wo Fat, Truckfighters, Mothership, Mountain Of Smoke and a bunch of other great S/D bands. Mountain of Smoke frontman was playing some weird ampeg head I've never seen before...
Anyone know what it is? ImageUploadedByTalkBass1395934123.680427.jpg
