I know but i like to give credit where credit is due. Also I'm exactly the same when ordering custom equipment, Nick can verify that i had a specific goal but was foggy about how to get there, after a couple hour long conversations talking about the possibilities he led me down the right path for sure. I'm not gonna sit there and tell him I only want sprague and orange drop caps and that i want it wired this way etc etc. He's the builder not me he knows what the best route is, but he did ask me questions when it came down to opinion or a few different choices on a feature. Definitely the best way to handle that kind of order IMO.

Definitely agree there. I think that all boils down to getting what you need vs getting what you ask for. Personally, in my job, I always try to shoot for the former. Sometimes people are victims of their own desire to be the expert and control a transaction. If I were an expert on what I needed, I wouldn't be contacting someone else to take care of it. So I'd rather tell someone my goal and let them figure out the best way to get there.

Almost every time I interject "give me this thing specifically" over someone figuring out the details to meet my goal, I end up not liking that portion. Evidenced by the fact that I did that with the pickups on my Drake Custom bass and they were the only things I didn't like about it and ended up replacing them. Got in my own way on that one.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if you could help me out?
I need some help with my eq. I have read everywhere for a good, heavy tone you should boost bass, cut treble etc.... but I am so lost this all these 63's,350's,5k's. Could any recommend at gnarly heavy setting for me please?

(I am hell sorry about the n00biness of this post and even more sorry of this is even in the wrong place)
