Blew one of the old squareback speakers in my newer Beta 205. I've kinda been waiting for that to happen, they can only handle 100watts. I have a back up from when I blew a speaker the first time. I mostly bought that cab for the actual cab, and to replace the speakers down the road.
Played the Ric tonight...felt weird, like not a P bass. Sounded completely different too, the P fills the bottom end so much more, but the Ric has this really cutting low mid, and that clank!!! It sounds like your hitting a huge girder, I LOVE IT.
The only thing is that damn binding rubbing my arm. I'm kind of thinking about making a forearm contour...

Got to agree Salem's Pot is where it's at.
The guitarist I found uses a $1000 guitar and a Roland 1x10 solid state amp, but her living with a drummer and having a music space totally wins over the weird setup.

I wouldn't say it's as heavy and intense as Dopethrone, but yea it's got a similar vibe to their other offerings. I wish it had more riff than spacey noises, but it works. I do like it though as I'm more a fan of EW style than more stoner blusey offerings.
So I totally want the treble bezel for my Ric. I can't decide if i want the cove or the deluxe. And untried a set of roto's and they tore my hands up so they gotta go.

I think either would be comfortable. I should have bought the second one as cove to see which one I like most.
tune sounds good and i play everything wide open on the Ric and i don't change my settings on my SVT whether its the Ric or a fender style bass. Ive been using the scoop on the genz lately with the Ric but i'm still experimenting with the new cab and such.

I run my Ric wide open, gain and bass almost dimed, flat mid and dial high back a smidge.
