I looked at the pics on the site and compared, its a V8 not a v7. And therefore not a green muff in any way tonally. The might share some components but they always have since day one(in a sense). It is a earlier heavy duty enclosure with the 6 screws instead of 4, but still the smaller box. That is something to be said, but it is not like the transition V7 muff which would be like mine just painted black. Not the smaller case and different foot switch like yours. In looking on ebay $80-$120 seems to be the market so you ask what ever you think is fare. Or hold onto it. They haven't made the green one in 20 yrs and look how much they go for now. Black ones a couple years ago were $60 all day. They have almost doubled in value now. If your not hurting for money, sit on it. I know if i find them cheap ill horde them :smug:

I'm gonna post these in the classifieds, but I figured I'd offer them up to you'z guyz first. Just got a brand new set of .150 balanced Circle K's for a 4 string, but now I'm no longer going to be tuning down to A, so I won't be needing them. Paid around $40. Anyone here want them for $30?

Actually, i might be interested, I'm just awaiting a paypal payment for a pedal that should come through tonight or tomorrow. If you can hold em for a day or two I'd love to take off your hands to put on my p-bass when i do the bridge and pickup swap. Are they the 34-35" scale length set?

Well, I was planning on using them for AEAD, so I think they'd work out alright for ya. They'll definitely give you more tension than .135's.

i use one of his 166 for A, but mostly cause it works well for G as well. maybe next set i order ill go one gauge smaller so they warble a little more, but i like them tighter than loose. i used to use a 135 and it went out of tune constantly in A.
