I'm curious to try the intellipitch, might cover a lot of ground or suck terribly, if so looks to be worth a good deal, so if it and the Demeter don't please me I can dump them for a bass terror or equally compelling amp, or couple months rent or some combo of. Not a bad situation to be in from a $60 combined purchase.
Ha! God forbid some Podunk buys this and enables him to sweep up more gun range floors and buy more bodies and spam up the craigslist...
I've got a dealer that posts what looks to be every used piece of gear they have daily. They from over 60 miles away and tags every city in like a 100 mile radius in the ads so it's always showing up and filling a page. Then there's a dude who makes his own hippie flutes and spams them all.
Weirdest common ad I see is people who claim they are selling all their gear and have like 8 practice amps and a bunch of cheap Asian strat copies. If they are just making a profit it's whatever. But they all make their ads sound like that's their serious gear, and I have to wonder who would seriously buy all those pawn shop disaster strats on purpose?
The fact you're talking instead of doing makes me seriously doubt your commitment to cool...
Lol I'd never buy it in the first place but am I the only one whose mock disappointed it's 9mm and not a .45 or .357? The one guy who might buy this is probably hesitating for that very reason.
Spend a quiet bit trying that intellipitch... *** that's a weird complicated piece of gear. Needs some contact cleaner and a location that I can get loud in to truly test it's worthiness in regards to it's delays, chorus, reverb and octave effects. The overwhelming majority of the presets are all pitch based (I.E. C maj/blues etc.) and my theory sucks so all they do for me is make the things I know sound wrong.
Most fun was the reverse delay and a "power chord" preset which if it sounds non glitchy at volume with fuzz would make for some thick albeit very lazy lines.

So I just had a talk with my boss. About two weeks ago she informed me that all OT was being cut. This doesnt effect most as they are salaried, I am not. I tried to explain to her that the 10 hours a week of OT I get is a 37.5% increase in my standard pay. Taking that away hits my wallet really hard. On top of that, it is 10 hours a week I wont be at work covering for her when she is always out of the office. A change is needed in expected workload, to match the change in time at work. She just gave me a blank stare... didnt seem to process any of it.

Did some jamming with the bluebeard for the first time in awhile last night. Got a pretty sweet tone running with the EGC, BB and Orange TB. Kept running into something kind of funny though, maybe this is common. Held out sustained notes seem to lose their low end pretty quickly, as my signal goes into a high pitched feedback tone. How do I make this not happen? Am I just running too much gain, causing my signal to feed back into itself quickly? I can hold a note for maybe 3-4 seconds before it starts to squeal out. Doesn't happen with my Wizard Fuzz, but that's obviously a different pedal with different settings.

There is actually two spots that have been left open due to people retiring. I have been informed that there is no plan to fill them in the next two years. This is to "inflate" the budget over that time while they "acclimatize" people to the increased work load.
Finally took some time to ID some unlabelled 12xx7's tubes I had laying around. I thought they'd all be chinese junk, but turns out I've got a couple RFT's, a pair of Tungsrams, and a handful of seimens tubes in there. Not even sure where they came from, ha! Not a band find! Crown jewels of the collection would be a pair of Ampherex Holland 12ax7's and a Telefunken 12AT7. Plenty of US NOS stuff too. I need to get tube-rolling.
I installed some JJ shortplate 12ax7's (for durability, microphonic resistance) and a NOS RCA 12AT7 PI in the Peavey 120/120 (along with the new JJ 6L6's). Will hopefully be testing it out this evening. Should be a decent upgrade from the all chinese junk that was in there.
Just got some new work too. Customer want's a stereo single ended ~5watt (el84) amp for playing music in the shop. Should be fun.
Last, I'm thinking of rack mounting the Peavey 120/120 and my GK 700RB together in a rack case. Thing is, there's no room for a ventilation space between the two. The Peavey has a small vent on top, but plenty of front panel venting. Was thinking of installing an additional fan in the back to push more air through, from back to front. I'd also need to install a vent in the top of the rack for the GK to vent out of. Thoughts?

I would avoid it. Those GK's are super solid. Until you let them get too hot.
The company I work for reduced operating costs 17% last year, increased sales ~20%, and posted a pure profit of ~$2.7B.
Hard to imagine my OT is going to effect them so poorly.
