I think this is why I like Ghost. The costumes are still cool to me. But the music and vocals are good too.

it's something we learned how to do over the last 6 years (and still learning). being instrumental we felt we had to try and keep it interesting and catchy so as not lose people half way through a song.
Max and I saw some post metal band that had one of those last year. shag if I can remember what they were called. The drone commanders look awesome, the ammo case casing is badass.
Just got back from seeing Yob in Sacramento.
If you've never seen them... do so on this tour. Holy shagballs that was amazing. Talked to Aaron, the bassist, a bit, as usual. Super chill dudes. They did three songs off the new album. As I'd been waiting to listen to it until I could buy it from them (it's like movie spoilers, in a way), it was weird to not know all the songs already, but damn, so good. "Marrow" is a song that's ridiculously emotionally heavy as well as, you know, doom metal heavy.

Well, got the DOD 250 today, had only few minutes to play with it, but I think I like it. It does cut some lows, but sounds pretty sweet. It might be a keeper.

FWIW the 3u SKB that the JGR is in is pretty much boobies. Light, strong, not too big, has seals on the front and back so that most weather wont get in to it. Not sure how it would hold up with a heavy amp in it though.
I have actually never run the effects look on my CL400. I will have to give it a shot this weekend.
This is in every part of american culture sadly. I was recently told at my day job that I will never move out of this position, because I look "like a tech, and not an analyst". Meaning I dont like/talk about/wear designer clothes with the b!tches in upper management. And I wear a carhartt instead of a "nice jacket" (It is fuqing cold here. Im not an idiot.). But it also goes to my physical appearance. Having a beard isnt "business professional". I dont have the time to spend 3 hours at the gym every day either, so I dont have the look/gym talk/b!tching to connect with other people either.
These people dont get that none of that should matter as it doesnt reflect on your performance at work. And it doenst matter how much crossfit they do, one could easily dispatch them with a set of kitchen tongs.
This is the main thing for me too, most of the "vintage rock" is just boring. I would rather listen to just about anything than that boring crap. Props to them for actually playing instruments and what not, so at least they are a step above a lot of pop artists. That said, play something worth listening to.

Side bar, JGR just gave me a tip on running the rock pre that I need to try out this weekend. The "pre eq" out on the 1u has enough voltage to drive a power amp. Time to try clean signal in to the F212 and dirty in to the DuallyT all with the 3.0.

Doesn't matter how well kept your beard is. Doesn't matter that your Carhartt was probably closer to $200 than $50. It matters that it's practical instead of trendy.

Damn, Julian. Full beard here, and I'm in exec-level meetings both internally and with vendors, all the way up to Big Deal Japanese executives. Granted it's the music/pro audio business, but still.
Ten hour shift in this glass case of emotion/boredom means its a Bongripper type of day.

i work at a big bank, beard, tats, piercings, funky coloured hair...all ok, no one cares as long as you do your job. We do have a dress code, business casual meaning dress pants and dress shirts are a must but no need for ties or suits.
