That's the big thing that's hard to get right, having everyone on the same page. It takes time to figure that out, too - no one will actually say that they'll be not motivated or will start showing up less often. That takes time to figure out.
And they're certainly not going to give an endorsement deal to some guy who's so paranoid he lives off the grid and has no social media presence.
I think I should probably take my amp into the shop. It fell off the cab after the Seattle show (well, to be more precise, I was lifting it off the cab, and tripped and fell, and it sorta broke my fall)... and then I played two more shows with it. So it works, but I'm worried something might be near failure or something.
Also, the bands Disenchanter, Shrine of the Serpent, and Bleak were pretty interesting to play with, as was the ambient project Entrail.
Holy crap Torche was some next level stuff, those guys are serious professionals. Kind of at a loss for words.
Well, the band lasted another night. Everyone showed up! That was my criteria today for whether or not to stay. The drummer says he'll canvass his known places for a gig this weekend, so let's hope. He's said that for a while now, and nothing. That's actually my guitarist's (the good one) breaking point. He has told me that if this weekend goes by, and the drummer and lead guitarist haven't gone and tried to get a gig, then he's out. I'll follow. They've been "trying" to do this for about 2 months, but have yet to do anything. I'd love to try, but I know nobody, and don't have any "ins" or even know the venues. I kninda think they should give some effort too, as childish as that may seem.
Hey, I'm well aware of that. I'm not even worried about that. You have to convince him. And according to him, you just show up at NAMM, tell some company you love their gear, and they give you all the stuff you could want. Realistically, I'm even pretty much set for gear. If that was the case, I'd still just be like, "Hey, your stuff is awesome and I like it. Thanks for making cool stuff. If it breaks, could you maybe loan me one while it's getting fixed or something?"
I think you kinda already know that the drummer isn't living in reality. I really think you'd be better off starting a new band with the first guitarist and maybe the keyboardist (the one who doesn't suck).
Yeah... worked the next night and the night after that. I mean, I reseated the tubes first, before I turned it on again. Sounded fine at both of the next two shows.
Man, I'm surprised no tubes were jarred partially or completely loose.
Found a deal for a V1 Blower Box. Gonna give it another try.

Got band practice tonight, work and the New Pornographers show tomorrow, Riff Reaper Rager Saturday night, then Valkyrie is going to be in town on Tuesday.
Then it's less than two weeks to Neurosis and Brothers of the Sonic Cloth.
One of my guitar players emailed two more song ideas last night - working on those tonight.

That's disappointing. This is going to be a free outdoor show on the capital square downtown, should be a good time. I have a passing familiarity with the band, but my wife is a huge fan so we're going to check it out.
It'll be chill rock, but decent. When I saw them it was all garble with a kick drum.
They were. I pushed them back in and it powered up the next day just fine.
