I see that and all I can think is "Tuning Nightmare".
Don't need. I'll never need one. I'd likely never play one. Basses like these are why my fretless has been unfinished in pieces under my bed... Utterly useless to me.
Still want really ****ing badly.

Should I sell my Berg NV215?
Ive kinda moved away from sealed cabs. I do also have the NV412, and honestly, I like it a little better. I havent used the 215 for anything but home practice in over a year. Normally I would sell a piece of gear after that, but as we know, I cant snag one again so easily if I feel like it was a mistake. what would you do?

All right I admit it, usually when you guys start obsessing over details of boo-teek hand-painted fuzz and dirt pedals, my monitor glazes over a bit. But umm.. yeah.. um.. I was sort of kind of maybe curious about umm maybe a new (to me) fuzz. Something very forward in the mids. Maybe with a defeatable tone stack? I have an EHX bass big muff, yeah it's a neat toy, but the biggest downer is how the tone knob makes it either too crispy or too dull and thuddy with no way to bring out any mid emphasis.
@Turkeypills this AM you mentioned you may be liquidating some pedals. Any of those fit the bill? How much $$?

Great. Working out the fret buzz and getting the setup dialed in. Thinking of getting a new harness with push/pull treble cap and push/pull stereo/mono. I don't know why I didn't buy one years ago.
I like having weird instruments, makes think about song structure and harmonic approach differently. Do I need it? No, but like c'mon!
It makes my fingers quiver with antici........

Sincerely jazzed you are digging the Ric. Beauty and class all the way. May give in to GAS for one someday myself. When I really consider it, it is probably T H E O N E instrument I really want most going forward through whatever years I have left (in addition to the piddly offerings I currently have, that is.)
And man...must have been a tiring week (it has been, and this is the first Saturday I'll have had off in a few weeks...) but I looked right at that Non-Reverse T and just thought it was an 8'er ('cause you'd been talking them up)...didn't even realize till Kawai-chang chimed in that it was a 12.
I've played one or two 12 strings (doesn't Squanch own one?) but yeah...I think neck tension and tuning would be a bugbear.

Yeah, I agree, 8 would be ideal. I've played both 8s and 12s, and I think the sonic difference is pretty negligible, and the 8s are way easier to play, so idk why you'd opt for 12, but that NR bird as an 8 strings? Schwing.
If that kid yesterday had just TOLD me it CAME WITH the original factory hard case.... 
they're not easy to come by. if you don't need the money or if you're not looking to buy other gear i say keep it.
yeah, I dont NEED to sell it, and Im not looking for any gear, but it doesnt get used really. That is usually the motivator to move something on.. If it were any other piece of gear it would be gone. but, once its gone, its G O N E.
@D.M.N. no 12 or 8 strings. Always thought they werw cool but octave up tracks so well and does the psuedo 8 string sound enough for me. Waterstone makes some 8 and 12 strings. They even had an Thunderbird style 8 string there for a while. I like my Waterstone except for the bridge they use and their feetwork kind of sucks on the model I have. Sounds sweet and looks good though.
Weird, I was unable to load talkbass from the am until now.
Got the ISP Decimator II for the VHT Melo verb. Then got the vox V847 at a local Pawn shop. Traded in my vox 845 wah and $35. It's and v3 American made and like 2lb heavier + chrome! I need to add a boss 9v or use my clip, but I figure I'll do a few mods.
Also the Joyo trem has two internal trim pots that are maxed out at 10k, and a resistor somewhere else. Those all get turned into 100k pots and you get level, shape, and some other parameter, in addition to speed and depth. Two caps altered and it's a very tweakable Demeter tremulator ($185 tremolo).
Still need the cathedral and a comp, and a board to put it all on.

ugh, i forgot i locked the basset hound in the laundry room, so whiny, saw a nice 80s candy apple red yamaha strat at the antique store last weekend, might be nice to pick up for figuring stuff out, i never play the epi sg for some reason, now the pit bull is barking at coyotes or something, jeez
Same reason I'm not all that motivated on getting rid of my JBL. I'd never be tempted to go that route again. This sounds like the same argument you had about rusty.
