Yeah that would double the forward voltage on one side. Definitely a possibility. A 1N914 and LED would be a closer gap, I should probably just socket the diode pads.
I used to smoke and drink at practices at the beginning. Mostly drink. But the guys started to drive to practices and I thought it was kinda unfair that I can get wasted and they can't. Now we play all sober.
Not much going on lately, lots of work so I'll stop being dead broke soon. GAS is slowly building up.

Had a two week break in practices, unsurprisingly we've already started to get sloppy. But at the end, when we thought that we won't accomplish nothing yesterday, out of the blue, we started this jam:

we start recording our next album in less than 2 weeks. really excited about this one, it's going to have some new elements that we've not incorporated before.
I guess I am the odd man out... I have never smoked anything, but will get a pint of scotch in me over the course of the night at a practice or show.
Stick one of the Artec clones into the bass of your choice?
I had it wired up originally with a single output, but the other pickups just buried it. So, I cut in another hole, made two outputs, and then I run it into an LS2 and I can just stomp it on for extra muddy thunder at my leisure. I actually enjoy it enough that I think I'd like to do it to a MIM Fender P instead of the SX cheapie I've been using (although I've got another one of those Fender cabronita pups coming to replace remaining Jazz, first).

Good news: three knob Cthulhu shipping to me. Really looking forward to trying that one out.
That would definitely work, or if you're going for the grindy/noise rock tones like Dave Curran from Unsane it can work as an always-on OD. Saw them a few times, also saw Dave with Player's Club his Rat>GK>8x10 tone was shaging ridiculous.

What do you guys do with old blown drivers? I have 4 eminence 15s from my peavey 215s and only one works. I don't think they are worth much at all but there has got to be a better solution than the dumpster.
Maybe CL ad, $20 a piece for blown drivers?
