a waltz by definition is 3/4. i love 3/4 songs, Lucifer's Memory by Comets on Fire being one of my favorite.

I never write this way but I love when 3/4 and 5/4 alternate every measure. I also really like 7/8.
I almost always write in some variation of 4/4 or 3/4.

I often accidentally write riffs in 5/4, 7/8, 9/4 or polyrythms wihout realising. My drummer is not a fan.
I'm pretty sure my drummer would veto anything I brought to the table that wasn't in common or 3/4, 6/8, 12/8 etc...
Unless it was just super badass and the guitards were on board.
Everything I write is super badass, and my guitarist bows perpetually to my supreme wisdom and doom mastery.

Interestingly I wrote a riff once and took it to practice. They guys love it and have repeatedly told me that they get it stuck in their heads all the time. Sounds like the gem right? Well it was cool to jam until one of the guitarists wrote a weak ass chorus section for it. Everyone was all about it but I thought it made the song sound like a heavier version of the Eagles. I do not care for it at all anymore. Totally killed that riff buzz.

I once wrote a riff that was in 15/16. Took me hours to figure out what was going on. Nothing I wrote would fit over top of it, until I got out my music program, started typing it in, and realized something was messed up. I typically write in4/4, but sometimes 5/4, 3/4, or 7/8 pop up.

we use 5/4 a lot. we've done a bit of 7/4 and 11/4. something we do is 4/4 riff with a 2/4 turnaround.
This is probably overheating. This much heat on your magnets is actually dangerous. Heat hysteresis is a real thing. You weaken the magnetic strength over time.
Depending on his signal this could help or hurt. Depending on where his signal is pushing the limits of the drivers, the extra motion could be cooling the drivers. The HPF could actually heat them up more.
Probably. Your symptoms would be more immediate.
Yes and no. If the drivers are over heating repeatedly, then ceramic magnets can loose their strength. This is one of the advantages of the neo mag speakers. They shed heat better, and dont suffer the same loss of strength.

Now that my amps repaired it's lacking that certain noisey barely functioning quality it had our last few shows, might have to start rocking the rat tail again and the mini moog delay until things get kinda loosey goosey like before 
This week the drummer who I was jamming with months ago hit me up again to play some doom again and two people hit me up from CL about jamming on some surf rock. Feast or famine fellas, let me tell you. We'll see if any of it pans out. I'm going to try to start jamming at home now, since my work is a murderzone and we're moving out of the building within the month.
