Was thinking about getting one of these a few weeks ago but wasn't sure if they'd be loud enough.
They do look super rad.

I was forever in pursuit of the peavey vb-2 until I stumbled upon an amazing deal on a svtcl. However, I did grab a vb 215 that can absolutely shake foundations. Great cab. And I can't say enough good about the t-40 it was my main bass until I got an sb-2.

I used to want a vb2 so bad for a while but everyone I know that has owned one has had it go out on them way too many times so I ditched the idea haha.

T40 is my main right now. Such a rad bass.

Hartley has stated that he doesnt look back or hold on to nostalgia. If he deems something to be superior, they shift gears pretty quickly.

Old band used to have a Mark IV head that another musician had abandoned at our rehearsal spot.

By using both channels and EQing them differently, you could get some really cool, interesting tones.

The guitarist in that band used a Peavey Mace head, with the biggest 4x12 I've ever seen. Loud as hell.

Catapult's first album I recorded on my by then heavily modded first bass, which began life as a Peavey P-bass copy. Later toured that bass. It's quite the tank.

Oh man I was at my bands jam space and a bandmate tells me his dad bought a very versatile bass years ago brand new for his mom but she found it way too heavy so I asked him if I could see it and he brings it out and its a friggin' T-40 in barely used condition but it took me a moment to realize what the hell I was looking at because.........his dad freekin' destroyed the body by cutting it all up to shed pounds off!. Damn he annihilated the whole upper body by cutting about a 2 inch section off from front to back and carving the remaining section once glued on again. Im sure he meant well but at the time I dont think he realized what he was destroying, if it was a begginer level bass than no problem. I cant take a picture of it to show because I wouldnt want to embarrass him and I would feel guilty posting the horror.

So, I saw Conan, North, Badr Vogu, and Body Void at the Oakland Metro last night.

Body Void was awesome as usual. They're the loudest band in the bay area besides Sleep. Fantastic Oakland doom. Been lucky enough to play with them several times.

Badr Vogu was cool as always.

North was great, as expected. Serious music, but they don't take themselves too seriously.

Conan's volume and low end was truly punishing. Awesome.

I recommend seeing the Conan/North tour if you can.

Seen Conan in March on this side of the Big Pond. If you guys can, go and see them. It's worth it.

Ill be seeing them when they come up to boston. Much excited. Also seeing the converge and neurosis show here...woot woot
