Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I didn't think they were selling necks anymore ? Heck when I emailed them about a new bass no one answered. But then again neither did zon. No one will take my money !!!

Yeah, they aren't that great about getting back to people. I kind of lucked out and jumped on one before they were all spoken for. From what I've been told they're planning to do another run later this year. It's frustrating but keep trying, maybe give them a call too.

I cant bring myself to chase anyone to give them my business. If they don't want it meh...

Ill be seeing them when they come up to boston. Much excited. Also seeing the converge and neurosis show here...woot woot
Saw Neurosis and Converge together last year. It was amazing.

That being said I've requested quotes/eta's from egc, zon, and a stingray through long and mcquade and no one has replied? Is customer service crap everywhere or is it just me? This stuff makes me bitter - i think I'm getting old :rage:
Everywhere.

Customer service is nowhere near what it used to be in fact I think it is strictly a formality. The aging is unfortunately a natural process but the bitter is brought on by society, at least for myself anyway.

I thought I'd share one of my recent builds. This is a prototype pedal for a Dunn Effects Traitor, which will be released later this year. It pulls design elements from a number of circuits but is pretty familiar and sounds incredible. It has a clean blend, two band bax stack, 4 position clipping switch and two gain controls with a second footswitch to stack them.

Thank you. I'll work on it. I have an interface but I haven't the slightest clue how to set it up properly or work a DAW. I've never been good with that stuff. I can shoot some crappy cell videos and try to figure out how to post those.

Shoot I just use a free garage band knockoff app to record riffs and the like. Granted it's a simple recorder but the mic is pretty good.

L&M and Zon have answer me!
I am an inch away from placing and order for a 2 band stringray 4 string.
I'm after a more modern sounding bass compared to my P and J - is it weird that I think a bass designed in the 70's is modern???

Not really considering the fact that some form of retro is always in. I think most of the newer bands I listen to are using vintage equipment or retro engineering.
