Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I'm just waiting to find the right preamp to use the 400 as a slave. After much play, I still find the preamp section to be missing something. It sounds great just not exactly what I'd like. I'd love to find a preamp pedal that could get me where I'd like to go and run that into the effects return.

I am getting ready to order a kit for a GK 400RB preamp pedal with a DI, effects loop and other bells and whistles. The more sterile GK tone with Hi/low mid knobs with a 400w tube power section behind it might get me where I want to go.

The JGR is king for sure, but I really love the JohnK mod pork loin in front of mine.

Hay, homies. Little brush with fame on the return trip from Nepal: shared a plane and a nice chat with the dudes from Death. My wife and I both thought they were a reggae band, lol. Then, we get on the plane, and I see the back of the guy's jacket and go "Wait a minute! You guys are Death??" Loudly. In a loading airplane. In Abu Dhabi.

Since you were coming from that particular destination I am assuming it was the African American band from Detroit?. It surely was not Chuck and friends. At least not Chuck anyway rest his heavy soul.

Yes, it was the Detroiters who were in the documentary "A Band Called Death". All really nice guys. They were heading back to Vermont from a gig in Rio De Janeiro.

What is this 400RB pedal of which you speak?

Nice. If the German confuses you, hit me up. I minored in it and lived there for a bit. I'm a bit rusty (and never learned music or electronic terminology) but would be happy to help and have a reason to use it. Don't get to do much auf Deutsch these days.
Well, you will when they stomp the ever-loving crap out of the planet in the upcoming World Cup.
