Stupid talkbass, I didn't know this existed until somebody posted it and now I'm interested, and even more interested because they make them in ivory.

I bought one and returned it. Mine was a bit of a lemon, but those are good sounding basses that look cool for dirt cheap

Mine had wonky finish work, pickups were misaligned, setup was terrible and I couldn’t quite get it right. I got it hoping for a T Bird sound on the cheap. It sounded good in its own right, but not enough like what I was looking for. I wound up finding a great deal on a Gibson Thunderbird, so all is well. It was a good sounding bass though and I’ve seen way more positive reports than negative ones. Make sure where you buy it has a good return policy and it seems worth the dice roll. I’ve never been a send it back kind of dude, so I felt bad about it. They were super cool about it though

Man, I’m loving those Dunable basses! So cool looking. Contemplating a new bass with just one Lollar T Bird pickup in the early 60’s position

Not sure if this fits in here, but I saw Yawning Man this week! If anybody is interested, Mario Lalli was using a shortscale Squier Jaguar bass (with the Squier logo obscured), and with a Bisonic-style pickup in the neck. He was using an Aguilar Tone Hammer head into an Ampeg 810, with a small pedalboard. On the board he had a tuner, fuzz, preamp (Microtubes?) pedal and some sort of digital delay.

I second that I ended up picking up both the Russian Pickle and EHX Russian Reissue I feel like the EHX is way better on guitar and the Russian Pickle has a tiny bit more low end but they are both awesome and very budget friendly.

I dropped by to check in and saw yall getting all nostalgic. So I thought I'd say hi. :)
More drama in TB land?

Been getting into synths pretty heavy this past year. Tried rejoining a sludge band at the beginning of this year. Guitar player dropped the drummer and me after a month back. I've barely played bass besides that these past couple years.

Might be starting up a just for kicks "recording project" with an old guitar player. I guess I'll see next month if he was serious or if it was just the beer talking. If it does happen... I might pick up a Bass VI, always wanted to mess with one.

Anyway.... any new fuzz pedals out? That aren't Muffs or Rats?

What bass is that up top? Looks cool!

Ahh, I thought it was an Epi... I'm on my phone and forgot I could zoom in.

There's a FB group? I thought I was in one, but there isn't much activity.

Just confirmed with my buddy. Sounds like he wants to play again. It has potential to be fun. We both need some fun in our lives. Also this will be a just for us whatever project. No expectations and no specific genre.

A few pieces left for the ambient pedalboard. Then put all the weird stuff on a seperate board. Get ezdrummer sorted out and we should be good to go. Probably run sound out of the laptop into a mixer into a 4 track, since I can't be bothered to learn how to use a daw.... hahaha!
Maybe after I get tired of hooking all that crap up after a few months.

My current favorite budget Fuzz is the old DOD Classic Fuzz. It beat out the Russian Pickle and Carcosa. Of course, it’s a little tougher to find as it’s been,out of production quite a while. However, the Carcosa and Russian Pickle are fine fuzzes in their own right. I just like dark fuzzes, and they each have a tiny bit of highs that I couldn’t remove. Many people love them and for good reason! The new EHX offering intrigues me, but I’m trying to behave...
