Everyone's entitled to do as they want for sure, but I think this is more a lament that listening through a whole album is a phenomenal, but frequently lost, art.
I for one, became massively impressed with Bruno Mars after listening through a whole record of his with my wife. She wanted to get into records, so I bought her some Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars. Honestly, his deep cuts were better pieces than the hits by far. Damn good composition and content. Not crazy about pop, but I have a hell of a lot more respect for him after doing that.
Nickleback, not so much...
