I’m a pretty pessimistic person myself, but I’ll give it a shot…

1) We still have music…Concerts are only “sort of” back, but we can still listen to and play music even if it’s solo…I don’t wanna imagine a world without music, so try to remember it’s still a gift that’s there…
2) Nothing lasts forever…I feel like a lot of us (myself included) have been inundated with so much information and bad news over the last couple of months that it’s hard to keep a longer perspective and remember that nothing ever stays the same over the long term- The only two things certain in life are death and taxes - I actually find that to be a comforting thought personally (This too shall pass)
3) Halloween is only about 10 weeks away (And six weeks until October)…I expect a giant display of useless plastic decor and candy at Target any day now (which is GREAT IMO bc my practice room in our basement needs more tacky strip-club-esque lighting and cheap plastic skulls)…I personally love Halloween and abhor Christmas, but if you like Thanksgiving and Christmas and Halloween isn’t your thing- The other holidays will both be here before you know it…
4) Didn’t you watch The Matrix??? There IS no glass MAN!!!…Okay that was a spoon, but I say question the usefulness of the glass and it’s half empty nature if necessary (I have social anxiety disorder so I tend to want to smack people that tell me to look on the bright side of things)…Sometimes life just sucks (and by sometimes I would argue “frequently “), however acknowledging that things suck is more likely to enable you to do something constructive or “deal” with things rather than saying everything is “fine” while the world burns down around you…

I’m sorry you are feeling down-I think I would slightly question anyone’s sanity who would claim everything is hunky-dory at the moment…

I would also offer up that you aren’t alone in that feeling…I am worried I’m about to lose my job or have to start over at another company -Both thoughts terrify me especially since I feel old and tired most days, but change is coming whether I want it or not so I need to learn to accept it…(I don’t mean to make this post about me-Just trying to convey that I’m super stressed at the moment…

I don’t personally know you, but I would argue that acknowledging your pessimismit to yourself and realizing that others are suffering tells me you are a compassionate person who cares about other people and if it’s one thing the world could use more of it’s that kind of thinking…

Stay strong and healthy…This stupid pandemic has to be closer to the end than the beginning…

I don’t know if this was the best response…In fact…Come to think of it…It could’ve used a little more cowbell…

Now, since you mentioned the spoon scene in the Matrix, here's an Easter Egg for y'all: if you look at the TV in the room, the movie that is on it "Night of the Lepus", a classic horror movie about giant carnivorous rabbits.

I actually agree with both of you…

Yeah seems like kind of a waste of mental energy, but at the same time I understand wanting to inform others that they won’t respect your purchase and might haphazardly ship something…

Your experience reminds me of when I bought my base from ProStar Audio-I felt like I got a deal when I ordered the bass, bc it came with a “free case”, but when I received it the case had a giant ding in it…

I felt like they misled me-The Bass worked/works just fine, but I also couldn’t get their customer service team to call me back and I finally just gave up…

On the one hand-Not the end of the world bc the Bass was still new and worked/works fine, but on the other hand, I will never order from them again and would not recommend buying from them based on my experience…

So, I would concur about the 3 out of 5 star review-I don’t think you’re ruining the seller’s life or anything, but understand why you’re miffed…

That band is pretty good from what I recall. Years ago I made a Grand Magus (or maybe The Sword?) station on Pandora, and Mothership was a regular appearance (I remember the album art!). There was another band that was always coming up too, but I can't remember them. The album art had a fully nude woman standing in a wheat field (I think? Some crop...). It was sepia-toned, and I feel like the name included "Buffalo" or something? Anyway, it was another solid group - I seemed to always enjoy the songs they played and looked up at the screen to see that album cover. If I could only remember the name of the group!

Yeah, they definitely seem solid…Really appreciate that they have a pretty heavy fuzzed out sound, but don’t ruin it with cr@ppy vocals…. <—— That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine just btw…F-ing hate it when I find a band that has some amazingly complex and awesome sounding riff for the first 90-120 seconds of an album I’ve never heard and then the vocals come on and they are just complete $hit (granted that’s usually a Death Metal problem for me, but I’ve noticed a few stoner bands suffer from the same sad fate):

- Mister, I can't stand the sound of your voice. - Oh, really?

Idk if this was the band you were referring to or not, but after iTunes finished playing that, it shuffled me over to a song by this band (I fortunately was just barely awake enough at like 2am to click on the artist page so it was waiting for me this morning…Felt like The Universe gave me a little bit of a gift as result)…I looked them up and apparently they are also from Dallas (I know I’m biased bc that’s my hometown, but I feel like some really good bands have come out of DFW (Pantera, The Toadies, Drowning Pool & Power Trip just off the top of my head)…

I started listening to a little bit today & like what I’ve heard so far…Pretty similar music vibe to Mothership…Not a lot of vocals, but that’s okay-they don’t really seem necessary when you can play that well):

Oh and PS…

Yes, they [Mothership] definitely sound an awful lot like The Sword so I’m not at all surprised those two bands were playing together…

That also qualifies them as a positive in my book…

I’m pretty partial to Age Of Winters and really enjoying Warp Riders (although I’m still not quite sure how I didn’t get around to listening to that album very much until recently)…

It was NOT Wo Fat, but that band also came up regularly! As did Freedom Hawk. I'll try and dig and see if I can find the group I'm looking for. Maybe I'll fire up that Pandora station and wait...
