I've listened to Warp Riders probably 200 times. I had it in my car CD player for literally months, constantly spinning it.

Also Lol-I’m not judging you namely bc there are a handful of albums that I think I would cringe if I ever got the statistics on how many times I’ve listened to them…
This isn’t an all encompassing list and I’m sure I’m leaving something out, but I’m looking at you Black Album, Master Of Puppets, RTL, ReLoad, Garage Inc, Live $hit, Astro Creep 2000, October Rust, Far Beyond Driven, Vulgar Display Of Power, Vegas, Fat Of The Land, Hellbilly Deluxe, Jar of Flies, and Dirt…
Aware most of that list technically isn’t Stoner Rock/Metal, but those specific albums are the ones that jumped into my brain as I was writing and…Well…I may have really driven those albums into the ground when I was a teenager, but somehow almost everything I mentioned is still in my weekly music rotation now…
After playing those particular albums to death in high school and college and then factoring in that the time period I’m referring to was about 24 years ago and I’ve listened to most of those at least once a week since then…Yikes…
A couple of those on my list I listened to so often that when the CD was scratched I automatically went to Best Buy or Target and just bought another copy of bc I knew I’d just run the CD into the ground again (which in retrospect really says something about how much I love Metal bc I was broke AF during that time period and somehow always found 15 or 20 bucks when I needed to replace one of them)…
Listened (and still listen) to a lot of other stuff too so I don’t want to give the impression that my tastes aren’t diverse, but that handful of albums I just listed was the bulk of my favorites in high school and college and that list of favorites really hasn’t changed much over the years…
(Amazing how you can hear something that many times and still have it resonate with you)…
Would be interested to know what other albums you (or anyone else here for that matter) just completely beat the brakes off from multiple listens…

Psycho LV slapped! Deafheaven put on one of the best sets of music I've ever seen, maybe the best... Other stand outs were Mutoid Man w/ Jeff Matz on bass), HoF w/ Coady Willis w/ drums (Big Business), Big Business, GZA, Knocked Loose, Mastodon, Mothership, Osees, Full of Hell, Weedeater, Cursive, and Dying Fetus. Shout out to Denver homies Primitive Man, Glacial Tomb, Khemmis, and Cephalic Carnage.
The only downer is my feet are thrashed! I have a whole new respect for John McClane and the heroism he exhibited on Christmas Eve at at Nakatomi Plaza in 1988.

Do you need to be scolded for wearing Chucks or classic Vans?
Sometimes you find a disc and everything on it just right. The guitar tones, the music, the lyrics, the whole package. My only (tiny) quibble with it is maybe have a bit more separation in the mix for the bass. Another album I've listened to probably that much is "Aja" by Steely Dan. Once again, just an "everything is just right" disc.

Vans... I had two pairs eaten by a dog in the past month, so I had to use an unbroken-in pair. I was also walking over 30,000 steps a day.
“Skate” line, formerly “pro” are where it’s at. Better insole, more supportive overall. I try to stick to skating cupsoles these days, and vans are the new NB/crocs/rad dad/soccer mom shoes, but 1 out of three pairs I get are still vans. The other 2 are NB or boots.
Haven't bought shoes in years besides work boots for my safety, but yeah same here. Those pro line were so much better. Been wanting to try those mte or whatever the tennis shoe sole styled vans are.

Lol-I’m pretty sure you’re not the only person on this thread that’s f-Ed up their feet by wearing Vans to a concert and standing there for like 8 hours at a time (he said from personal experience)…Given the choice I would take my Eras over a pair of Chucks any day so I say you have good taste IMO…
Wife and I are supposed to go to a Metal Festival this Fall (hopefully/fingers crossed /Knock on wood) and my Wife already has a whole plan to further break in a pair of Doc’s she doesn’t wear very often for this very reason…
Getting old sucks (especially when you haven’t been to a concert in almost two years and you wind up head banging to one of your favorite bands) <—-That was me last week…KILLER show, but UGH…My neck was sore for like two days-Worth it, but I’m going to need to pace myself next time…
Sounds like a great festival…I’ve never been to that particular music fest, but it’s definitely on the bucket list…
Also-Las Vegas is probably my favorite city on the planet (hope to move there one day), but it’s VERY easy to walk yourself into the ground…

Funny (but kinda sad) story along those lines…
Was talking to two of my coworkers a few years back…
One of them was about my age and the other coworker was 22 at the time…
I don’t remember how the conversation started, but at one point the 22 year old made some snide remark that was something along the lines of “It doesn’t matter what order you listen to songs…They’re all just songs”…
To which the other guy my age just retorted: “Because you don’t put in The Wall by Pink Floyd and hit shuffle…Its an artistic statement and shuffling songs on a concept album is NOT how that artist intended you to consume their art”…
To which the 22 year old (very smugly) bragged that he only listened to Spotify and had “Never” listened to an album start to finish…(As if this was somehow something to be “proud” of)… <—- [IDIOT]
Meanwhile I was standing there thinking of the 800 gajillion times I have listened to Master Of Puppets start to finish and just kinda rolled my eyes at the other guy that was my age like “You can’t fix his stupidity” and just walked away…
The 22 year old couldn’t figure out what the big deal was and the other guy I worked with was like “This conversation is OVER”…

I do try to listen to whole albums or at least a side at a time on records, but I mostly get time to listen on the road nowadays. Unfortunately I often take calls, or just have pandora running, but I do enjoy songs way more when listening to the whole album. Been trying to more lately during my drives.
God forbid someone listened to music the way they like.
Everyone's entitled to do as they want for sure, but I think this is more a lament that listening through a whole album is a phenomenal, but frequently lost, art.
I for one, became massively impressed with Bruno Mars after listening through a whole record of his with my wife. She wanted to get into records, so I bought her some Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars. Honestly, his deep cuts were better pieces than the hits by far. Damn good composition and content. Not crazy about pop, but I have a hell of a lot more respect for him after doing that.
