Ditto here. For whatever reason, they just don't do anything for me. A buddy of mine seems to quite like them, though, and I keep hearing them mentioned. Maybe I'll give them another spin.
I had not one, but two OG Beta Bass heads at one point. This new one seems like it might've solved the originals weak bass output with a 'bass voicing' switch? That was the main weakness of that amp, it was pretty mid-rangy too.

I got more of a Ghost vibe in that they seemed to be aping a nostalgia sort of vibe for something that never quite existed. I love Dio, but Castle Rat falls flat for me.
The melody is pretty doom, the arrangement isn't (could be a cool cover)
Not my bag though I have not listened to much of them, but gotta give em credit for the whole package of lore, music, characters, etc. Seems to be something that clicks with audiences these days
100% Can't fault them, they've put in the work, crafted the image, etc. I think it's very "escapist" for many people, and I support that. I just escape with different media!
I liked Ghost when they were a psych-rock band from Japan in the 1990s... yeah, totally different Ghost, but I was a big fan of that one.
Gonna need some input on this one, because I only really see one solution so far.
dialing things in
bass one:
LB100 foam muted with flats into eqd spatial delivery - diamond comp - ibanez mini flanger - into the mesa d180 overdriven with orange cabs
may put the lollars from the sugar pie jone's cramps p bass into this bass, but not sure i need the cleaner and deeper tone
mechanical animals sub bass synthy type tone, but grittier due to the mesa
bass two: schecter diamond series sb-1 with new rounds and emg hz pickups - fuzzrocious 420 - GK GMT 300 B - high channel with distortion
this is where the issue is, this bass needs to occupy a more guitar type space so i can hear it and myself
Would you recommend a POG for some octave lifting?
The Taurus Dexter won't cut out the dry tone completely and the EQD organizer has some delay and maybe not as precise tracking.
I live really close to Perfect Circuit in LA and I was looking for some recommendations or endorsements of the POG pedals.

I would recommend the Boss XS-1 Poly Shiffer to add somewhat 8 string, octave course, bass -esque effect.
The POG is a great pedal, but it does tend to have slight organ/synth like quality to the octave up, the XS-1 tracks as great, as has as low latency, as the POG, but sounds somewhat more natural in comparison.
You can hear an example here on a P pickup equipped bass (though it has a phaser added as well, and the bass in tuned to A standard, tenor bass, tuning):
