after listening to the above track it got me thinking just the L2000 turned all the way up in active with no fx and the kawai with the 420 fuzz into the spatial delivery into the diamond comp into the ibanez mini flanger

gotta be careful cause I want the melt-banana sound and not the alice in chains sound ;)

Back from a loooong break, and glad to see all of the regular Doom people here and kicking. Caught up on everything since October when I set aside the music stuff for the sake of mental health. I played a few times for the first time in awhile through the last two weeks and finally hopped back on the site. Left one toxic band that I was in that really took a lot out of me, and unfortunately my main band shared a drummer with the other one, so he left from the main band too and we've been on hiatus since. Kind of feels like that project is done at this point anyways, but I could be okay with that if we all talked it out one last time.

On the lookout for a local doom project or Sabbath tribute now, and excited to learn some more! Thanks to any that read my rambling, it's truly great to be back with you all.

cool bass, these are great for pushing tube amps and fx pedals

just wanted to ask you what you think the weight of your L2K is

my 2024 is 10.75 pounds, which seems on the heavy side

I will say this now like I will say for any L-2000 player that’s new to the instrument: the volume knob set to around “7” gives an output akin to a P-bass and can really set it up for playing thicker, more P-bass-y tones. It also helps tame some of the highs that these basses explode with. That said I use my L-2500 for for gainier things given how well they shine in those contexts.

yes, my L2000 with xl rounds ends up being my stand in for my LB100 with ti flats, still haven't tried the new L2000 through the mesa yet, but I usually boosted the LB100 with a compressor pedal to match the vintage L2K as closely as possible
