The problem that people aren't aware of, is that by using AI-whateversauce, they're essentially training it to get better, and it will. Using the example in the post above, it's negating a wholly human created outcome, whether done jokingly for laughs, or done with more serious intentions (see music on Spotify eerily similar to existing meatbag-made music, and somehow getting lots of engagement).

There are job postings in my field for 'AI trainers' in which the description basically goes 'do these things so our AI observes and learns real good from you (and eventually replaces you).'

After waiting nearly two weeks, I finally got that Black Country Customs "The 85". Only got about 10 minutes with it today, but it's absolutely fantastic. Instantly better than my Bass Octave Deluxe, which I'd hope given the price difference. Regardless, it tracks really well, has a great feature set, and was a cinch to dial in. More features than I'd use, including sub-octave, octave up, and a 5th setting for faux power chord type stuff. Each sounded great in their own way. The focus knob seems like a combination of the BOD's girth and growl knobs. There's an expression pedal input - too bad I don't have one! Will hopefully get some more time with it soon. Sounded great pushing my dirt pedals, or just solo. Need to get some time with it pushing my envelope filter and get real funky.

I'm shooting at NAMM again this year on the press/media day, which is Wednesday, January 16th.
If there's anything that is coming out that looks interesting let me know, I'll try to check it out and get some pics.

need to dial in the envelope, compressor, and one of the basses, don't like fiddling with knobs or eq settings on the head, the pedals, and the bass

Dude, weird....we found a dead owl yesterday wedged in between 2 steps on our deck. Like it was going hard after a rat and couldn't get unstuck. Not sure if it strangled itself or snapped it's neck, they have crazy twisty necks. I found out it's illegal in CA to keep alive or dead, no taxidermy unless it's for educational purposes, and you're not supposed to even pick up raptor feathers if you find them on the ground. Gonna bury it tomorrow before my wife's cat-lady friend gets her mitts on it. Bada$$ birds!

Sweet pic, love the colors and the cool diagonals, you could feed that into midjourney or krea to animate it.
I didn't see many animals in Arizona probably due to the freezing temperatures, going to be headed back to
the LA River on Sunday or Monday. Going to spend most of today sending out an art show press release to
blogs and magazines, hopefully I'll get to mess around with the compression and envelope filter pedals later.

owls aren't afraid of ghosts, that's why they can live in haunted places, however, I'm not too knowledgeable about ghost owls and what they do

My latest musical creation, a mystic oriental progressive doom/stoner tune, that I named "In Orbit":

3rd take, played on my LTD B4-JR 28.5" scale length, tenor bass, tuned in A standard tuning (as in the upper 4 strings of a 6 string bass in regular B standard tuning), directly into my handheld Zoom H4n recorder, and only edited through a simple Wav editor.

Hey guys, haven't been here a couple of years, good to see the good old doom room is still alive.
Been in a band for the last four years, surprisingly we kinda made it and even got some recognition.
Played like 18 shows last year and a few summer festivals. We even got to support Pallbearer here in Warsaw.
Now we're on hiatus since our guitarist and his wife (our singer) had a baby.
I'm rambling.

got a cool mechanical animals glam industrial tone from tweaking the eqd spatial delivery "industrial accident" setting suggestion running into my diamond comp with my standard setting I used for the sludge doom band

gotta actually hook the pedals up to the mesa d180, because i am pretty sure with the sub like nature of the tone that my 25 watt fender rumble isn't going shine with the L2000, however it sounds great with the LB100

the ibanez mini flanger that i bought from a bill goldberg lookalike on fb market place seems to be trying to give me nirvana type chorus thing, but i'm not sure, still attempting to dial it in

Recently bought an el cheapo amazon rip off of a Tube Screamer (likely a 808) to see how I jive with the circuit. I do jive with it. Likely will be getting the Ibanez Mini version at some point. Adds just a wee mid hump (as is it is wont to do) which makes the octave up from the POG pop a bit more and gives the Muff a bit more oomph, as expected. A classic combo for a reason.

Can't say I'm an expert on Tube Screamers, but I rather enjoy the Green Rhino MKIV. It's got some extra EQ options, as well as a switch to turn it into a straight up TS clone. If Way Huge is an option, they're always worth a look as far as I'm concerned.

I probably need a mini size to squeeze on the board. The cheapo is a KOKKO and is mini size. I've had a Way Huge pedal or two and loved them, but I'll probably just go for the Ibanez version for simplicity and size

Then might I suggest the "Smalls" version (aka the Green Rhino MKV)? If a "mini" is what I'm thinking (one of those really small enclosures with non-symmetrical jacks on the sides), you may be just as well served by the MKV. It's got an internal switch to go from 100hz to 500hz (instead of one dedicated to each) and a "Curve" control (that was on previous Rhinos, but was replaced by one of the EQ knobs in the MKIV). And size-wise, if memory serves they're slightly smaller than MXR pedals (which was smaller than I expected!), but have top jacks, so they take up a not insignificant smaller amount of space compared to side jacks. Something to think about, as I don't recall the exact measurements, but the top jacks certainly save space.
