Which is strange because I hated it when it first came out.
Met Jeff at a Zeke show before he joined HOF.

The Marshall and 4x12 on Jeff's side of the stage is part of the bass rig too. He runs a bass and guitar rig together so he's got normal bass rig running off the brimstone distortion. And that mxr and DS-1 go into the Marshall for a lemmy-esq tone.

Funny to see Jeff have all that tape over his pedal knobs. At that clinic, Juan Alderete said he'll actually super glue his pedal knobs in place once he finds the sweet spot because he gets tired of having to always check them with such a big board.

That's cool, i love finding stuff like that. The US made rats usually have some cryptic phrase printed on them. Mine says "the captain is smiling".

Also, don't want to start another rent vs own debate - but it looks like we'll be getting that rental house we were looking at. Pretty pumped for that! We need to meet the landlords tonight and sign paperwork, then the moving fun starts.

We'll end up having to overlap leases for a month, but that means that we can take our time moving. Pack up several boxes a night and drive them over. The house is about a 3 minute drive from here so I should be able to get a lot done in an evening. My wife is working two jobs so most of the work will fall to me BUT I DON'T CARE BECAUSE WE'RE GETTING THE shag OUT OF OUR APARTMENT!!!!!

My leases overlapped a month too. And about the same distance as your two places. Very nice when you get bored to go ok let's go get a few boxes or clean a bit.

I need a patch a penny sized hole before the 31st though.

Got my bench almost in order. Though coffee table fixes mean I can watch netflix on the tv while did them at the apartment. Distracted soldering! That's how dad taught me actually, to the syfy channels warehouse 13.

I just have some clothes, dishes, PC games and CDs left, but damn those are hard to get motivated to get up.

Just got back from High on Fire. ****, that was a solid show. They covered a lot of ground from their discography. Pretty sure they played at least one song from each album. Obviously more from "De Vermis Mysteriis" but they smashed out a few classics like "Devilution" and "10,000 Years" plus the regular hits like "Rumours of War" and "Frost Hammer" before closing the set with "Snakes...". **** was great!

FOH sounded great, at least to me, but the dude kept ****ing up the band's on-stage monitors. The band had to tell the sound guy to fix their monitors after each song for the first four songs of their set. Jeff and Matt got vocally agitated and scolded the sound guy from the stage after the fourth time but later thanked him for making it work.

Didn't get a chance to find or gearnerd with Jeff but I was able to stand right in front of him for the whole set and get a decent peek at his gear. That's about as close as I got to gearnerd lol. He was rocking his 70's (I'm guessing) P through an Ampeg Heritage SVT and matching 810 cab. SOunded HUUUGGGEEE! He had a nice looking trans-red Squier P on stage too with what looked to be SD Quarter Pounder pups installed (couldn't tell from the distance) which he never used. It was likely a backup. Matt was playing through three Marshall JCM 800 heads and four Marshall 412's. **** was off the chain loud!

Took some shots of them (mostly Jeff) in action. Also managed to grab a sneaky shot of Jeff's pedalboard. Kinda cool that he's using the new MXR Bass Preamp pedal, I thought.

Caught one 17" smallmouth bass and a few smaller nonkeepers this weekend and drank my weight in beer.

Now on my way back home for some amp worship.

And I'm going up to my cabin this next weekend too. More fish, more beer.

He sold the Delgado to Phil from Conan, well formally from Conan now.

I got to play it for a few minutes, huge neck on it. Pretty close to the RD I was using at the time.

Those black tops looked huge. Fender calls it the blacktop bass humbucker. I saw them during the Delgado era. He had the Emperor cabs. I haven't seen them live, since he used fenders. Damn, I need to get out more. Kinda hard now that they cut my women's hours at her job ( she's already part time so we don't have to pat daycare). I'm going to have $2 here and there, but no real way of saving. Will be a band rent fund, more than likely. So, lots of gassing through you guys. More gear! More gear!

I've been getting more into Church of Misery lately. Lots of good stuff but can be a little samey.

Also how does one play a bass like this? Just seems like a lot of wasted effort.
