this format is used for my redskins board and there are threads with 1000s of replies, so unless its a talkbass rule, there should be no problem going past 1000 now.

i do like that i can track who comments on my posts. it always sucked making a post and going back 4 pages to see if anyone answered.

I switched to retro view too, just easier to read. I disabled most of the alerts and likes and all of that. I'm on board with a switch to new servers/software, for the reasons Laz was kind enough to explain, but "social media" aspect is completely useless to me. I still post on forums because I like that archaic, conversation based form of socializing online. I don't give a crap how many people "like" a post, just if people are actually talking about something that interests/engages me.

I did change my avatar to something more current though. Since my previous one was from all the way back in my original doom-metal.com forum days.

Yeah, I guess the ability to track who comments on a post is a nice feature. but I stand by the social media stuff is pretty pointless...at least to me.

I pretty much refuse to integrate with Google+ and if I did Facebook I wouldn't integrate with that either.
I like my hot side hot and my cold side cold.
