Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Texas needs the extra time in the class room to keep up.
To put it in to perspective, if you are not tuning lower than low A, you wont find the lower limits of the Bassic or Dually. If I had to take a guess they are tuned to somewhere between 55 and 60 hz, which covers the first harmonic of A. The fEARful cabs on the other hand are tuned to ~46hz, which covers the first harmonic of that low F#.
doesnt seem like that ~10-15hz is a big difference, but at those frequencies that almost an octave difference in which harmonic is covered.
Hell yeah, that's the place. Fresh, never frozen beef, made to order when you order it. Consistently good and delicious.
Their double mushroom and swiss is unreal.
I'll have to check that out. I had the Reuben the other day, meh. It'll do in a pinch. I was going to get the mushroom swiss, but now you're making me really regret my decision. haha.
Tried Culvers the other day. Burger was good, but curds were disappointing. There was no squeak, and they were heavily seasoned processed cheese. Curds are supposed to be just that, raw curds, battered and deep fried.*
*Spent a summer doing Army stuff near LaCrosse WI. Fresh fried curds and Leinie's red on the river bank for 4th of July was heavenly.

Fortunately I know nothing of the fresh curd being down here. So what they serve is pretty awesome to me

Yeah, the curds are a little pedestrian. But it's fast food.
My sister lives in LaCrosse and I've had friends there off an on for years. It's a nice town. I'll probably be heading up there next weekend for a visit. I have a new nephew that I need to meet.
The guy who runs Winghart's apprenticed under some famous butcher. He grinds his own freaking meat for the restaurant. Literally the best burger I've ever eaten.
I fell in love with that town, reminded me how good smaller cities can be after living in the Baltimore/DC metro for years. Plus there's Daves Guitars, which if you have not been, you owe yourself the trip. Great shop.
going to cha cha chili for the korean/mexican bbq, but surprisingly they do have the best burgers i've had in LA, the desert's got papyss
I've been to that one by the IBM complex (what is now the domain mostly) a few times, but it's been probably a decade now since I've visited.
It's incredibly greasy in that place.
That's the one I live closest to. I usually hit the drive thru. It wasn't to bad inside the last time I was in there. It's an old building. They may have put up new wallpaper since then. haha.
Oh yeah, I've been to Dave's many times. His private collection is ridiculous. The city itself is great, there's a surprising amount of good music going through there, some spillover from the Twin Cites, but good touring bands come through sometimes. Melvins used to play there quite often, probably not as much these days.
But there's the bluffs, the river, lots of green space for hiking and spending time outdoors. Helps that it's a college town, so it's not just full of old boring people.
Yeah, it was a fun place, and I can only imagine it'd be more fun when the college kids are about. Ah, good times
Going to a blue crab(hardshell crab) cook out tonight which is kind of cool, but lots of messy work for not much food and I think crab legs taste better anyway, but that is the big deal in coastal VA and MD I suppose. Rather be eating wings, pizza, potato pancakes, and steak hoagies back on the block in PA.
You shut your whore mouth. Blue crabs n'beer are the best thing evah.
What's a papyss, heck what is cheese curd too? I keep thinking of My Name is Bruce and the bean curd monster.
