lot going on, drummer got a really disturbing demon mask for 38 dollars that is set up so when you move your mouth the mask's mouth moves, unfortunately the only one i liked from the series was the demon, so i will be sticking with the halloween 3 silver shamrock skull replica , the new guitarist (from the misfits cover band) was really cool and patient, never letting on that he could sing and play drums way better than the other people, got some left hand pain, not sure what to do, going to try the basses with the jazz necks and lower action to see if it goes away, might end up playing vintage pearl colored casio with my right hand for the bass parts(i hope not), could possibly trade the g&l l2000 for a super old 70s ibanez with a huge bridge pickup, but i think that has a pretty chunky neck too, gonna check out a couple pawn shops today, maybe there's a vintage yamaha i can wrangle up for sub 100 bones

Look into some Peavey basses. Some super small necks on a lot of them.

Was going to go to work. Said f*ck it. Got some kolaches and played vidyers.
Ordered the original Romero living dead movies. Hunted down the special editions of each release. I should already have all of these anyway. For whatever reason I haven't watched the Dawn of the Dead, Argento European release with the Goblin soundtrack.

My roommate showed me a place I'd never been. Best I've ever had so far. They also had these amazing sweet bun with pecans all over it.

I had a dyna bass with a neck I never fixed (banana). Tiniest neck ever.

The new Vega stuff does sound good man. Some people live to tear others down. People don't hesitate to say stuff online they'd never say in person.

Laz, the misses got me an acoustic bass for my bday a few years ago. It's fun to have for taking to BBQs, camping, and family things. It needs some kind of amplification to be heard well, but, it doesn't bother me too much. I don't bust it out that often but its nice to have. Im REALLY glad the one she got me has a pickup/mic and a decent preamp with built in tuner.

Depends on year sometimes.., My 86 RB with rosewood board has a thinner neck thickness than the 83 with a prominent C shape and maple board. They are in the midrange between Jazz and Pbass width wise.

hey guys. I'm not trying to be "that guy" that only posts when he has something to promote.....but it looks like it's turning out that way :)

I've been posting this stuff just about everywhere else so I figured why not here.

Well after taking a bit of a break (guitarist had a kid) Mass Driver has a few shows and other things going on.

First and foremost, we have a show this Thursday in Knoxville at the Concourse/International. This will be our first show at this venue and it should be an interesting one.

We'll be opening for a few "horror punk" bands. I'll be honest.... that kind of music is far from my thing but whatevs... it should be an interesting night anyway. And any excuse I have to play loud fuzzy riffs is cool and the gang with me.

We have a "CD" release kind of show on the 18th at Disc Exchange. Which is a pretty rad record store just on the other side of the sun sphere (you know...the thing with the wig shop at the top)
It's a free show and happening on a Saturday at 2 pm. Which is cool because that means that we'll be playing to folks that we would never play to otherwise. I finished up the flyer last night and got it hung up over most of the area today.

We're still working on a music video for one of our songs. It will probably be awhile before it's finished but I'll be sure to post it once it is.

I know it's an extreme option but the EGC neck is thinner and more comfortable than any bass I've ever played.

Could always put an EGC neck on a body you're comfortable with.

My hand would cramp up a lot playing my other basses especially some of the bigger necks from the 70's. I haven't had a single problem/issue/pain since switching to the EGC. Can't wait for the neck to go on the G3 body I have.

Did you send them the whole bass or just the neck?
