All the FLAC! Honestly it's hard to hear much of a difference between good 320kbps MP3 and lossless audio unless you have much nicer headphones than I do or a GOOD sound system. Can't stand MP3s through good monitors like ADAM audio stuff. The ribbon tweeters reveal too much.
For the muddy-ass speakers I use, it matters very little. I still listen to streaming albums on Youtube, so clearly I'm not THAT picky

Ugh, combination of USPS and Polish postal system is a lethal mixture. I'm still waiting for my P bass pickguard even though it's in Poland for almost a week. It was shipped from Philly, but instead overseas it went... to Cleveland. Then it stopped for 5 days somewhere in Tennessee to be finally shipped to Europe. Once it got here, well, enough to say it's now on a road trip around Poland...
Normally it takes around 10 days, it's been almost 3 weeks. Go figure

Busy morning. Missed breakfast. As I returned voicemails, people were calling in leaving more. Finally cleared mailbox. Now on to emails. Lol.
I got smashed at the BBQ Saturday. I was moving slow yesterday. I need something fried and smothered in gravy.
We might be getting a DIY spot for shows and such soon. The bars here have been pressuring the promoter I am friends with, to guarantee a certain number of people at each show. It's never going to happen. The metal scene is fairly divided into what you can hear on the radio, versus underground stuff. The poppy stuff has shows at a pay to play place. I loathe that place. The rest of us play at one of two venues where a third venue gets most bigger touring bands (but those bands usually dont stop here). So the two remaining venues feel pressure to keep music profitable for them. The only way they can do this is cover bands. So, looks like we are going secret password, warehouse shows. I feel like it's 1979 and I'm playing in black flag. Anyway, my guitar player, the local promoter ( who also plays in like 4 bands), plus four other mega active scenesters, are coming together to get a place for the underground where we dont have to worry about presale tickets and all profit goes directly back into the scene. We are all involved in some way with recording, art, music, photography, etc, with plans on getting screen printing equipment and anything else needed to make a band go. It's kind of exciting, even though it's sort of a step backwards. I'm hoping this warehouse venue becomes real, otherwise, no more shows in town. Unless you are in bands like the disturbed or saliva or whatever.

Since the tune in the video wasn't bad i finally downloaded the new mastodon. It better then the hunter IMO but the kids singing was not needed.

Just remember rule 1: Don't stick it in the crazy.

I avoided chiming in on this yesterday because I didn't want to whiz in corflakes. But now it's monday so here's what I think.
It definitely sounds like one of those on-again, off-again poopy relationships. I wouldn't be surprised if he's abusive (mentally or physically or both). Of course I don't know that for sure but it's more common than people think.
If you want a relationship with her, she needs to be done with the live-in dude for good. Which would ideally mean that she was living elsewhere (NOT WITH YOU).
If she's still living with the guy and they've been together for awhile, whether he was abusive to her or not, she will go back to him. Maybe once, maybe multiple times, maybe they've broken up multiple times already. Furthermore, if she's in an abusive relationship she was likely treated poorly by her family and will seek out (consciously or unconsciously) similar dynamics in her relationships with men. This leaves you, the sensible, not-poopy, not-abusive nice guy at a disadvantage. She wouldn't know how to react to a relationship with someone that doesn't lie, scream, yell, abuse, etc.
If she doesn't go back to him, but is still living with him, congratulations you've got 10 trash bags worth of baggage in the form of a live-in ex-boyfriend that's always around.
So obviously I'm reading in to the situation a lot here. I don't know these people, you do. Make a judgement call, listen to your gut - not your brain or other body parts.
If you just want to have some fun and neither of you are looking for a relationship then have some fun. Just be prepared for the eventual sh*tstorm and its consequences.

Corey - I think it's an older version of an X100B. It's 100W, scalable output, 6L6 power tubes, 5 band EQ on the front. Looks like lots of tonal options with pull pots. Pretty clean, old logo on the front. $250.
