Yup early DiMarzio. Well the Bass VI will be used on GH stuff now too.
The Vulcan and Lucifuzz are very responsive to pup output. With the hot dimarzio they scream, but with my lower output ric, its a much more round fuzz/almost OD.

I have a set of Dimarzio model PJ'S that I got for my fretless. I ran them into an Audere pre and loved it. My fretless is in a seemingly endless refin process so I used the P in my peavey fury passive. I have to say, despite the excessive love shown for model Ps I am not impressed running them passive. Not a lot of treble and the mids seem relatively undefined. Hopefully the lady took a hint and grabbed me a set of Geezers for it. That said it is wearing chromes currently and while I like chromes I don't think they are the right choice for this bass. I'm thinking some nickel rounds even though nickels generally make me cringe and make my fingers stink.
Cake shame is hardly the worst kind of shame to wake up with...

Were they wired series?
My understanding is they lose allot of what makes them awesome if wired parallel.
Today is my last day of working my "day job" until the 5th. Turns out I have to use my 2 weeks of vacation from 2013, or they have to pay out @50%. So despite my boss rejecting all my vacation requests in the past two years, she is now faced with the option of paying me to not work, or paying me time and a half for the next two weeks to work. Guess what really isnt in her budget at this point in the year.

I am actually only using the P. Maybe a stupid question but can a split be wired series? I like it with the tone rolled off(on technically I guess) but it just lacks bite wide open.
It is a split coil pick up. Essentially two small pick ups. You can wire them in series or in parallel. You could have a switch to switch between the two options.
Kind of stoked after years of going to different specialists for my "daily migraines/facial headaches" and tons and tons of trying different meds, I was put on an anti-seizure drug and this took away the migraine aura but not the pain. Yesterday this made the light go off in the Neurologist's eye, and he said they are not migraines they are nerve pain and gave me a different anti-seizure nerve pain med to try. He didn't put a name on it but when I looked up the medicine it is used for atypical trigeminal neuralgia and that devil of a thing has my exact symptoms and they mimic migraines but happen way more often than migraines(daily like I get). So I got my fingers crossed big time he is right as medicine or surgery can fix it. I would love to get a normal life back and maybe get a chance to play music with people eventually.
Local dude scored a beat up double bass on the cheap and decided to do a refinish job. He's still working on it, but check it out. Yes, that's Pee Wee Herman.
